    摘要: A method of leak testing a fluid passage of a part manufactured from a low conductivity material includes measuring an electrical resistance between an interior wall surface of the fluid passage of the part, and an exterior wall surface of the fluid passage of the part. The measured electrical resistance is compared to a threshold value to determine if the measured electrical resistance is equal to or greater than the threshold value, or if the measured electrical resistance is less than the threshold value. The threshold value is equal to a nominal wall thickness of the fluid passage multiplied by a resistivity of the material used to form the part. The part passes the leak test when the measured electrical resistance is equal to or greater than the threshold value. The part fails the leak test when the measured electrical resistance is less than the threshold value.

    摘要: A thermal interface member may comprise a substrate having a first surface and an opposite second surface, an electrically conductive layer disposed on the first surface of the substrate, and an electrically resistive layer disposed on the first surface of the substrate. The substrate may comprise a compliant electrically insulating and thermally conductive material including a polymeric matrix phase and a dispersed phase of thermally conductive particles. The conductive layer may be patterned into a first electrode and a second electrode spaced apart from the first electrode on the first surface of the substrate. The resistive layer may be in electrical contact with the first and second electrodes of the conductive layer and may comprise a resistive material having a positive resistance temperature coefficient and a resistance that increases with an increase in temperature.

    摘要: A battery pack with a drain plug. The drain plug includes a carrier defining a cavity internal to the carrier, an inlet disposed on a first surface of the carrier and an outlet disposed on a second surface of the carrier where the first surface and the second surface fluidly displaced from one another and coupled to the cavity. A soluble plug may be disposed within the cavity of the carrier; the soluble plug is configured to at least partially dissolve when fluidly coupled with a coolant allowing a portion of the coolant to flow between the inlet and the outlet and out of the battery pack. A first lead and a second lead are configured to signally connect an impedance element that is cooperative with the carrier, to a circuit such that when the continuity of the circuit is interrupted, the circuit provides notification of the activation of the drain plug to the on-board computer systems.
