摘要: A passive humidifier membrane includes polyolefin with a plurality of pores, wherein the average pore size of the plurality of pores is 0.05 μm to 0.4 μm as established by a PMI Capillary Flow Porometer. The humidifier membrane is virtually airtight while providing a high transfer rate of water. Transfer of heat is also high. The humidifier membrane is particularly suitable for heat exchange and water transfer between fluids and, it is particularly useful for applications inside or outside fuel cells such as PEMFC. The membrane is also particularly useful in the application as humidifier for air or oxygen.

摘要: An electrolyte membrane comprising a reinforcement structure and an ionomer is provided. The reinforcement structure comprises a plurality of pores with a diameter of 0.3 μm to 2.5 μm as established by a PMI Capillary Flow Porometer and exhibit a linear swelling expansion below 0.5% for all directions in the X-Y plane. Furthermore, a method of manufacturing such electrolyte membranes is provided. The electrolyte membrane is particularly suitable for application as electrolyte membrane in low temperature fuel cells, such as polymer exchange fuel cells and direct methanol fuel cells, and in electrolysis cells.

摘要: The invention concerns an improved process for producing high performance polyolefin member. The process comprises the steps of preparing a solution comprising a polyolefin and a solvent, extruding or spinning the solution into an air gap to form a fluid member, cooling the fluid member to form a solvent-containing gel member, and removing at least partly the solvent from the gel member to form a solid member before, during and/or after drawing the member. Furthermore, the process involves the presence of an antifoaming agent comprising an aryl sulphonic acid or an alkyl naphtyl sulphonic acid. The invention further concerns the geltruded polyolefin member comprising aryl sulphonic acid or alkyl naphtyl sulphonic acid.

摘要: The invention relates to a multilayered material sheet comprising a consolidated stack of unidirectional monolayers of drawn ultra high molecular weight polyolefine. The draw direction of two subsequent monolayers in the stack differs. Moreover the thickness of at least one monolayer does not exceed 50 μm, and the strength of at least one monolayer is comprised between 1.2 GPa and 3 GPa. The invention also relates to a ballistic resistant article comprising the multilayered material sheet and to a process for the preparation of the ballistic resistant article.
