摘要: An electrotransport device for transdermal drug delivery has a number of electrodes and driving circuitry for supplying driving signals to the number of electrodes. The electrodes are connected to the driving circuitry in rows and columns. The driving circuitry has row driving circuitry for supplying a row signal to a row of electrodes, and column driving circuitry for supplying a column signal to a column of electrodes. A predetermined electrode is individually addressable by supplying a row signal to a corresponding row of electrodes and a column signal to a corresponding column of electrodes.

摘要: This invention provides a device for the controlled release of a predefined quantity of a substance and a method of controllably releasing a predefined quantity of a substance from a compartment (20). The device comprises a first number of compartments in a substrate (11), each compartment being closed by at least one release mechanism (30). The device further comprises a second number of actuating contacts (40) for the release of the substance from one compartment of the first number of compartments by means of applying an actuation signal between at least a first actuation contact and a second actuation contact of the second number of actuation contacts, wherein the first number exceeds the second number, and each of the actuation contacts comprises at least one conductor path in or on the substrate forelectrically connecting at least one compartment, and the actuation contacts form a mesh-like structure in or on the substrate.

摘要: A radiation detection system (100) is described comprising a measurement region (104) in a measurement chamber adapted for receiving at least one sample (108) to be examined and adapted for receiving excitation radiation for impingement on the at least one sample (108) and for generating sample radiation. The radiation detection system (100) furthermore comprises at least one detector element (106) for detection of the generated sample radiation. The radiation detection system thereby is a front irradiation system, i.e. the excitation radiation is incident on a first side of the measurement region (104) in a measurement chamber and the at least one detector element (106) is positioned at a second side of the measurement region (104) in a measurement chamber, the second side being opposite to the first side with respect to the measurement region (104) in a measurement chamber, such that detection occurs at the side facing the first side. The detection system (100) also comprises optical means (112) adapted for guiding said excitation radiation aside the at least one detector element (106).

摘要: The Invention concerns to a micro-actuator device for the use in biochip or bio-system. In order to achieve a micro-actuator device for the use as a micro pump in biosensors or bio-systems, or at least bio-chips, by which the actuation can be steered very precisely and effective, the solution is that the micro actuator consist of a photosensitive actuator element (1), which can be deformed from a reversal basic-form into an activated deformation form by photonic activation of a light source (3, 4, L1, L2) in order to generate with this controlled movement a defined flow in a gas or a liquid.
