    摘要: A circuitry (10) is provided for automatically retiming a received synchronous data signal to a local clock. The circuitry (10) includes a first flip-flop (20) operable to register at least one synchronous data signal in response to a receive clock signal and to generate at least one data output signal. An OR gate (26) receives a data latch enable signal and a local clock signal. The local clock signal is frequency coherent with the receive clock signal. The OR gate (26) produces an enable signal. A latch (28) is coupled to the OR gate (26) for receiving the enable signal and in cascading arrangement with the first flip-flop (20). The latch (28) latches the data output signal on the falling edge of the local clock signal when the data latch enable signal is low. The latch (28) holds the latched data output signal as long as the local clock signal and the data latch enable signal are low. When either the local clock signal or the data latch enable signal is high, the latch (28) passes the data output signal. A second flip-flop (30), coupled in cascading arrangement with the latch (28), registers the data output signal passed through the latch (28) in response to the local clock signal. The signal output by the second flip-flop (30) is timed to the local clock signal.

The method also includes dissolving at least one layer of the sacrificial material to form an interior channel (226) within at least one shield. The dissolving of the sacrificial material also results in the formation of a interior space within at least one housing containing the distributed filter element.

    摘要: Increasing the effective aperture of an ultrasound imaging probe by including more than one probe head and using the elements of all of the probes to render an image can greatly improve the lateral resolution of the generated image. In order to render an image, the relative positions of all of the elements must be known precisely. A calibration fixture is described in which the probe assembly to be calibrated is placed above a test block and transmits ultrasonic pulses through the test block to an ultrasonic sensor. As the ultrasonic pulses are transmitted though some or all of the elements in the probe to be tested, the differential transit times of arrival of the waveform are measured precisely. From these measurements the relative positions of the probe elements can be computed and the probe can be aligned.

    摘要: A lightning protection system, method and aircraft are provided for reducing the flammability of jet fuel spilled during an in-flight refueling operation between a supplying aircraft and a receiving aircraft. An inert gas is injected adjacent to a refueling interface in order to displace oxygen in the fuel-air mixture and thereby reduce the ability of the fuel vapor to ignite upon occurrence of an ignition source such as lightning. The refueling system may comprise a boom or a hose and drogue type device.
