    摘要： The aqueous solution of a statistical terpolymer containing quaternized amino groups and having a regular chemical structure of(a) from 8 to 20%, by weight, of N,N-dimethylaminoethyl acrylate and/or N,N-dimethylaminoethyl methacrylate;(b) from 45 to 80%, by weight, of styrene; and(c) from 8 to 35%, by weight, of acrylonitrile;the sum of (a) to (c) being 100%, by weight, and at least 10% of the dimethylamino groups of the terpolymer being quaternized and the remainder protonated is suitable as cationic paper sizing agent.

    摘要： An improved process for the production of powders of maleic acid anhydride/1-olefin copolymers by suspension polymerization in the presence of special dispersion agents which are obtained by the reaction of a copolymer of maleic acid anhydride and a 1-olefin with an aliphatic monohydric alcohol or an aliphatic monoamine or a mixture thereof, at least 30 mol % of the anhydride groups being esterified to semi-esters or amidated to semi-amides. The copolymer powders obtained have a surprisingly narrowparticle size distribution and can be used without grinding or sifting as reactive fillers for natural and synthetic rubbers. They also can be used for the production of paper coating agents as they dissolve easily and without residue in alkalis, ammonia or amines.

    摘要： An improved process for the production of a substantially equimolecular copolymer of maleic acid anhydride and diisobutylene in which from 10 to 100 mole % of the anhydride groups are esterified with linear or branched aliphatic monoalcohols containing from 1 to 20 carbon atoms or with cycloaliphatic monoalcohols containing from 5 to 6 carbon atoms to form the corresponding semiesters, wherein shortly before or after the end of the solution or suspension copolymerization of maleic acid anhydride and diisobutylene a monomer corresponding to the general formula ##STR1## in which R=H, CH.sub.3, C.sub.2 H.sub.5, --OR.sub.2, --O--CO--CH.sub.3, ##STR2## --CH.sub.2 OH, --CH.sub.2 O--C--CH.sub.3, R.sub.1 =H , CH.sub.3 andR.sub.2 =a linear or branched alkyl group containing from 1 to 4 carbon atoms,Or mixtures of these monomers with one another are added to the polymerization mixture in quantities of from 1 to 12 mole %, based on the maleic acid anhydride used. The aqueous or aqueous-alcoholic alkali, amine or ammonium salt solutions of the semiesters of the copolymer are highly effective as anionic sizing agents for paper.

    摘要： Non-crosslinking, water-soluble polyamines which can be obtained by reacting(A) basic polyureas which have been prepared by condensation of ureas with polyamines containing at least three amino groups, of which at least one is a tertiary amino group, or with mixtures of these polyamines with aliphatic, araliphatic, cycloaliphatic or heterocyclic polyamines containing two primary or two secondary amino groups or one primary or one secondary amino group, and optionally with .omega.-aminocarboxylic acids containing at least three carbon atoms, or lactams thereof,(B) polyalkylenepolyamines of the general formula ##STR1## in which R denotes H or CH.sub.3, the indices y are in each case identical or different and denote the number 0 or 1 andx denotes a number from 4 to 2,500,or mixtures of these polyalkylenepolyamines with amines of the same general formula, but in whichx denotes a number from 1 to 3, and(C) compounds which are polyfunctional towards amino groups, are used as agents for increasing the retention of fibres, fillers and pigments, for accelerating the drainage in the production of paper and for working up effluents from paper machines by filtration, sedimentation and flotation.
