摘要: In a method for electrographic printing of color images on a final image carrier, charge images of images to be printed are generated on a charge image carrier and are developed into toner images with toner, the toner images being transferred onto an intermediate carrier from which they are transfer-printed onto the final image carrier. The charge images for individual colors of the color image are generated in succession on the charge image carrier and are developed into individual color toner images with color toner. The individual color toner images are transferred onto the intermediate carrier and are there collected atop of one another in a color collection cycle to form a complete color toner image. Before transfer printing of the complete color toner image on the final image carrier, the final image carrier is pivoted onto the intermediate carrier, and after the transfer printing, the final image carrier is pivoted away from the intermediate carrier. After transfer printing of the complete color toner image, the color toner images for a next complete color image are transferred from the charge image carrier onto the intermediate carrier after an end of the pivoting of the final image carrier away from the intermediate carrier.

摘要: The invention relates to a method and an arrangement for generating positionally-accurate print images on a carrier material with the aid of an electrophotographic printer or copier. A positioning error of the position of the carrier material with respect to a toner image present on the toner image carrier is determined, which error occurs during the contacting of a carrier material to be printed. Dependent on the positioning error determined, for every subsequent contacting of the carrier material to be printed with the toner image carrier, the position of the carrier material with respect to the toner image is adapted before the contacting such that the carrier material and the toner image are arranged with respect to one another substantially free of positioning errors.

摘要: A printer for printing endless paper webs on both sides has two printing stations with a web turnover station therebetween. The paper web is fed in parallel side-by-side to the two printing stations which are on the same rollers. The drive of the web through the printer is by a positive drive, using pins to engage holes in the paper web, for example, into the first printing station. The drive of the paper web thereafter is by friction drive to permit slippage in the drive to compensate for variations in paper length during heating, etc. The slippage is controlled by brakes or other drag inducing devices acting on one or both of the two portions of the paper web.

摘要: A device for monitoring the concentration of an air-vapor mixture in the fixing station of a non-mechanical printing or copying device has an ultrasonic transducer for generating and receiving an ultrasonic signal in the fixing station, the transit time of the ultrasonic signal between transmission and reception indicating the air-vapor mixture concentration in the station. The transit times are subdivided into at least three ranges of which the mean range or mean ranges identify a desired concentration. An evaluator circuit post-connected to the ultrasonic transducer forms signals corresponding to the ranges, the signals being entered in one of at least three status memories in accordance with their significance. The status memory which is filled first emits an output signal for triggering a corresponding reaction such as increasing the vapor density in the station, and cancels the contents of all of the status memories. False reactions as a result of brief and topically limited fluctuations from a mean concentration are thus largely avoided.

摘要: In a method for improving the printing quality for electrographic color printing, print consumables, particularly toner, are monitored in container-exact fashion and substance-specific information are employed for the control of the printing process. Toner expiration dates for the consumables are identified and noted early at the respective printing location. The consumable contained in the container and the amount of consumable contained is thus stored in machine-readable fashion at the container. An information carrier is provided at the container for non-contacting transmission of data and energy from a data read and/or write station to the container. A transponder that is provided with an individual hardware identifier is provided as the information carrier. The hardware identifier may be employed as a component part of codes for device control. The printer or copier system disclosed includes a recycling concept for consumables containers. One and the same container is multiply employed, and the current container content can be acquired container-individually at any time by machine. The containers are provided with the information carrier that contains the machine-readably encoded information about the current or more recently contained consumable situated in the container. A module that can be electronically written and read in non-contacting fashion is employed as the information carrier, particularly the transponder. The data stored in the transponder can be supplied to other system components such as a filling station, a central computer with a data bank, and the printer or copier devices.
