    摘要: A medical electrical lead includes a drug eluting coating provided over at least a portion of the lead body. The drug eluting coating can be provided over at least a portion of the lead body and adjacent to at least one electrode located on the lead body. The drug eluting coating can include at least one matrix polymer layer including a polymer admixed with a therapeutic agent. The therapeutic agent, for example, can be an anti-proliferative agent or an anti-inflammatory agent. The matrix polymer can include a medical adhesive. The rate of elution of the drug from the matrix polymer layer is affected by the drug to polymer ratio of the drug in the matrix polymer layer.

    摘要: A medical electrical lead includes a drug eluting coating provided over at least a portion of the lead body. The drug eluting coating can be provided over at least a portion of the lead body and adjacent to at least one electrode located on the lead body. The drug eluting coating can include at least one matrix polymer layer including a polymer admixed with a therapeutic agent.     摘要: The present invention is an apparatus and method for making a polymer patterned electrode for cardiac pacing and sensing. The electrode surface includes a polymer overlayed on an electrode. The polymer layer is patterned to form an electrode surface consisting of a polymer and a conductive metal surface. The electrode can be made of a high or low impedance electrode by changing the conductivity of the polymer. Furthermore, the electrode surface texture can be optimized with a micro pattern that may enhance the biocompatibility. The polymer may be conductive or insulative.

    摘要: The present subject matter includes a capacitor stack having a plurality of anode layers, and a plurality of cathodic metal substrates partially coated in a titanium coating. Cathode portions lacking titanium enable weld interconnections which are substantially free of titanium, improving capacitor properties. In some embodiments, anodes are interspersed among cathodes, and are electrically separated from the cathodes, with portions of cathode material attached to the welding area of the anode. These portions of the cathode material are no longer electrically connected to the cathode. As the anode and these cathode portions are welded and aged, leakage current is reduced due to improved oxide growth in the welding area due to the absence of titanium.

    摘要: A biomimetic electrode material including a fibrous matrix including a conductive polymer and an ion conducting polymeric material is described. The biomimetic electrode material may be used in a number of body-implantable applications including cardiac and neuro-stimulation applications. The biomimetic electrode material can be formed using electrospinning and other related processes. The biomimetic electrode may facilitate efficient charge transport from ionically conductive tissue to the electronically conductive electrode, and may induce surrounding tissue to attach or interface directly to the implanted device, increasing the biocompatibility of the device.
