    摘要: A herbicidal compound, and a method of use therefor, for the selective treatment of useful plant cultures, having a broad spectrum of activity against weeds and noxious grasses in pre-emergence and/or post-emergence periods having the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is a straight-chain or branched-chain alkyl, alkoxy, alkoxyalkyl, or alkylol radical having less than a total of 15 oxygen and carbon atoms combined, or a hydrogen atom; (R) is a lower alkyl group; A is --CH.sub.2 -- or --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --; with the proviso that n is 0-6, when A is --CH.sub.2 --, and n is 3-6, when A is --CH.sub.2 CH.sub.2 --; and wherein the substituents (R) on the cycloalkyl ring are identical to or different from each other.

    摘要: Processes and devices are disclosed for continuously detecting at least one substance in a gaseous or liquid mixture by means of a sensor electrode to which is applied a variable potential.     摘要: In a direct-methanol fuel cell stack with an at least partial circulation (7, 9) of the fuel, according to the invention a means is arranged in this circulation for reducing the concentration of an undesired byproduct. This means is comprised especially of a further electrochemical cell (8) to which electric current is applied and which at least partly transforms the byproducts by an electrochemical reduction reaction again to methanol and water. Since the concentration of byproducts is small, the loss in electric current required for the additional reduction reaction has no noticeable effect on the efficiency of the fuel cell stack.

    摘要: The present invention provides cereal selective herbicidal compositions comprising a herbicidally acceptable carrier and/or surfactant and, as active ingredient, herbicidally effective amount of at least one 6-phenoxypyrid-2-ylcarboxamide of formula I and at least one additional herbicidal compound selected from the group consisting of flufenacet, cinidon-ethyl and carfentrazone-ethyl. Also provided is a method for the control of undesirable plants such as Setaria viridis, Alopecurus myosuroides, Poa annua, Stellaria media, Lamium purpureum, Galium aparine, Veronica hederaefolia, Papaver rhoeas and Matricaria inodora which comprises applying to the plants or their locus a herbicidally effective amount of said compositions. The compositions have been found to possess synergistic properties.
