    摘要: Disclosed is a medical particle irradiation apparatus comprising a rotating gantry 1 including an irradiation unit 4 emitting particle beams; an annular frame 16 located within and supported by the rotating gantry 1 such that it can rotate relative to the rotating gantry 1; an annular frame 15 fixedly located opposite the annular frame 16; an anti-corotation mechanism 34 being in contact with both the annular frames 16 and 15 to prevent the annular frame 16 from rotating together with the rotating gantry 1 during rotation of the rotating gantry 1; and a flexible moving floor 17 interposed between the annular frames 15 and 16, the flexible moving floor 17 being engaged with the annular frames 15 and 16 in such a manner as to move freely such that its bottom is substantially level and that it moves as the rotating gantry rotates.

    摘要: A three-dimensional element is fabricated from a high-temperature superconductor. The method and apparatus can fabricate, for example, a single-electron tunnel device or an intrinsic Josephson device which utilize the layer structure peculiar to the high-temperature superconductor, with machining from the side surface of a monocrystal or thin film. In the focused-ion beam etching, a substrate holder which is rotatable about 360°, is rotated, at the minimum, through an angle of about 90°, and the thin film or monocrystal on the substrate is etched from the side surface thereof so as to fabricate the element. After the thin film or monocrystal is machined from above by means of an focused-ion beam to thereby form a bridge having a junction length, the sample is rotated by about 90° (270°). Subsequently, a multi-layer current path layer is formed through side-surface machining. The junction length is accurately controlled through measurement of the current path length from an image display.

The magnetic material is expressed in a general formula R1.sub.x R2.sub.y M.sub.100-x-y where R1 is at least one element selected from the rare earth elements, R2 is at least one element selected from elements having an atomic radius in a range of 0.156 to 0.174 nm, M is at least one element selected from Fe and Co and x and y are atomic percent individually defined as x.gtoreq.2, y.gtoreq.0.01 and 4.ltoreq.x+y.ltoreq.20, and M occupying 90 atomic percent or more in the principal phase of the compound.

This contact forming material is produced by a process which comprises the steps of compacting arc-proof material powder into a green compact, sintering said green compact to obtain a skeleton of the arc-proof material, infiltrating the voids of said skeleton with a conductive material, and cooling the infiltrated material. The contact forming material can provide contacts for a vacuum valve or vacuum circuit breaker which has excellent characteristics such as temperature rise characteristic and contact resistance characteristic.
