    摘要： An image forming solvent applying device for applying an image forming solvent, for example, water, to a recording material whereby the recording material is immersed in the image forming solvent and bubbles or dust are wiped from the surface of the recording material. The solvent is supplied into a lower guide member which cooperates with an upper guide member to guide the recording material through the solvent. The two guide members each have a plurality of ribs extending obliquely with respect to a direction of movement of the recording material such that the ribs wipe the entire area of the recording material at least once as viewed in a widthwise direction of the recording material perpendicular to its direction of movement as it is conveyed along the ribs.

    摘要： A liquid developer for electrostatic images which comprises at least one charge controlling agent selected from the group consisting of compounds represented by formula (I) or (II) and complex salts containing a molecular structure shown by the formula (I) or (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each represents a hydrogen atom, an alkyl and substituted alkyl group, an aryl and a substituted aryl group, an aralkyl group, an aliphatic acyl group, an aromatic acyl group, an alkylsulfonyl group, an arylsulfonyl group, R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represent identical group or different groups, or R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 together form a heterocyclic ring with the nitrogen atom in the formulae, and when one of R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom, the other represents a group other than a hydrogen atom;A represents an alkylene group or a substituted alkylene group;X represents a hydrogen atom, a monovalent to tetravalent metal atom, a quaternary ammonium cation, andn represents a positive integer of 1 to 4, andwhen X represents the metal atom defined above and the number represented by n is not sufficient to satisfy the valence of the metal atom represented by X, the residual metal valence bond or bonds are occupied with one or more ligands to form the complex salt.

    摘要： A recording material comprising a support, a layer of a light-sensitive composition on the support, and a transparent film on the layer of the light-sensitive composition wherein the light-sensitive composition comprises (a) a monomer containing at least two addition polymerizable unsaturated bonds and having a boiling point of at least 100.degree. C, (b) polyvinyl butyral, and (c) a photopolymerization initiator represented by the formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is an alkyl group which may be substituted or a vinyl-methyl group, R.sub.2 is an alkyl group, aryl group, or thienyl group, and Z is a group of non-metallic atoms required for forming a heterocyclic ring.After the recording material is imagewise exposed to light, the transparent film is peeled off while heating at about 70.degree. to 150.degree. C, whereby a positive or negative image is formed on each of the support and transparent film.

    摘要： The present invention provides a process for preparation of a charge-regulatory agent characterized by reacting an amino acid with a titanium compound in an organic solvent to form a reaction mixture and further reacting the resultant reaction mixture with water which is equimolar or more to said titanium compound, and a liquid developer for development of an electrostatic image comprising a dispersion of resin-containing toner particles dispersion in a carrier solution having an electric resistance of 10.sup.9 .OMEGA..multidot.cm or more and a dielectric constant of 3.5 or less and containing said charge-regulatory agent prepared as mentioned above.When an electrostatic latent image is developed with the present liquid developer containing the special charge-regulatory agent, an image of excellent resolving power, good half-tone reproduction and excellent gradation may be obtained without the occurence of any image flow.

    摘要： An image forming process which comprises image-wise exposing a photosensitive material to light, the photosensitive material comprising a support and a substrate with a photopolymerizable material therebetween, and stripping off the support to leave either exposed areas or non-exposed areas of the photopolymerizable material on the substrate, in which the photopolymerizable material is characterized by comprising at least two different photopolymerizable layers which each comprise one or more addition polymerizable monomers, one or more photopolymerization initiators and one or more binders, which photopolymerizable layers are placed adjacent the support and the substrate, wherein at least one of the ingredients or the ratio of the ingredients of the photopolymerizable layers is different in at least the two different photopolymerizable layers, and the photopolymerizable layers have the relationship of C>A>B and C'>B'>A' or C>B>A and C'>A'>B', wherein:A is the adhesive strength between the support and the photopolymerizable layer adjacent thereto;B is the adhesive strength between the substrate and the photopolymerizable layer adjacent thereto;C is the lowest adhesive strength of all the adhesive strengthes between any two photopolymerizable layers among the layers, A' is the adhesive strength between the support and the photopolymerizable layer adjacent thereto after exposure to light, B' is the adhesive strength between the substrate and the photopolymerizable layer adjacent thereto after exposure to light, and C' is the lowest adhesive strength of all the adhesive strengths between any two photopolymerizable layers among the photopolymerizable layers after exposure to light.

    摘要： The present invention is to provide an image-receiving material, such as an image-receiving sheet, for electrophotography, which is excellent in smoothness (gloss), touch and sheet passing property and usable for the photography and which is free from adhesion or blocking to each other during the storage. The present electrophotographic image-receiving material comprises a support, and a toner image-receiving layer containing a thermoplastic resin formed on the support. Organic particles having a glass transition temperature or melting point not higher than a fixing temperature at which an image is fixed on said toner image-receiving layer are incorporated into the toner image-receiving layer or a second layer forming the electrophotographic image-receiving sheet other than the toner image-receiving layer on the toner image-receiving layer side of said support. In addition, the center line average height on the surface of the support is 0.01 to 5 μm and a releasing agent selected from the group consisting of silicon compounds, fluorine compounds and waxes is incorporated into the toner image-receiving layer or any additional layer.
