    摘要: A vehicle air bag system is provided with an air bag that inflates and unfolds to cover the entire front surface of a front pillar 3. When it is judged based on the detection operation of a collision detection device 10 that there is a risk of colliding with a pedestrian, a hood pop-up device 11 is actuated and the rear end part of the engine hood 1 moves up, widening the gap between the rear end part and the front windshield 2. Simultaneously, the air bag module 15 is actuated and the air bag 18 expands out from the gap. The air bag inflates and unfolds so as to cover the entire front surface of the front pillar 3 from the base to the upper end thereof.

    摘要: A frame structure capable of increasing collision energy absorption includes a floor member or structure. The floor member has extruded side sill members which are adapted to undergo lateral buckling in response to side collisions while resisting axial or longitudinal deformation due to end-on collisions. Extruded impact dispersing deformable sections with a smaller rigidity than the associated side sills are provided on the inboard sides of the sills and arranged to smooth buckling and disperse collision energy. At least one extruded, flat, passenger occupancy floor section, which is located inboard of the impact dispersing deformable sections, is provided to prevent buckling deformation and maintain the cabin space.

    摘要: A laser irradiation apparatus which is provided with: an environment isolation container, which houses a laser oscillator and is disposed in water; a laser irradiation head, which collects laser beams and irradiates a part to be machined with the laser beams; a light guide section which transmits the laser beams from the laser oscillator to the laser irradiation head; a power supply apparatus which supplies the laser oscillator with power; a cooling water supplying apparatus, which supplies the laser oscillator with cooling water through a cooling water supplying path; and a temperature sensor which measures the temperature inside of the environment isolation container. The temperature and/or the flow quantity of the cooling water to be supplied from the cooling water supplying apparatus is controlled on the basis of the measurement results obtained from the temperature sensor.

A side sill 5 is arranged on one side of the floor structure 1. A pillar 21 is connected with the side sill 5 through its lower end 21a. In the structure, a strength adjusting part 29 is formed in the side sill 5, for adjusting the strength of the side sill 5 in local. When the vehicle has a frank collision, the strength adjusting part 29 operates to reduce a collision reactive force generated on the side of the lower end 21a of the pillar 21 in comparison with the collision reactive force generated besides the lower end 21a of the pillar 21.

The front-wheel movement promoting mechanism may be a notch (35) formed in the suspension member (19) to allow the front wheel (22) to move backward in early stages of the collision. Then, the front wheel (22) interferes with an outrigger (15) and a side sill (14), preventing a vehicle cabin from being deformed.

    摘要: A front body structure is provided to restrain a collision load, which has been applied on a front wheel by a vehicle front collision, to be concentrated on a front end of a side sill excessively. In the structure, a front energy absorbing member 23 is attached to a back face of a lateral end of a bumper 21. A recess 18 is formed by a front end of the side sill 7 and a front face of an outrigger 15. A rear energy absorbing member 19 is attached into the recess 18. The outrigger 15 connects the side sill 7 with a front side member extension 5 joined to the rear end of a front side member 3. At the vehicle front collision, the front energy absorbing member 23 interferes with the right-and-front part of the front wheel 1 to allow the left-and-front part of the front wheel 1 to interfere with the side face of the front side member 3 and also allow the rear part of the wheel 1 to interfere with the rear energy absorbing member 19.

The pillar has an upper end joined to a side roof rail and a lower end joined to a side sill. The upper structure portion extends between the upper end and the predetermined point. The lower structure portion extends between the predetermined point and the lower end.
