    摘要: A method and an apparatus for processing documents expressed in terms of the graph based on the graph theory. Grouped constituent description series as the contents of a predescribed document are stored in a constituent description series retaining section. A first identifier acquisition section acquires an identifier series corresponding to the constituent satisfying a designated first condition from the grouped constituent description series that are retained in the constituent description series retaining section. The acquired identifier series is stored in an identifier series retaining section. A second identifier acquisition section acquires the identifier series satisfying a designated second condition from the identifier series that are retained in the identifier series retaining section. The acquired identifier series is stored in the identifier series retaining section in a state that it can be distinguished from other constituent description series already retained therein. A constituent description series acquisition section acquires a constituent description series corresponding to the identifier series that is acquired from the identifier series retaining section by the second identifier acquisition section, from the specified constituent description series that are retained in the constituent description series retaining section.

    摘要: In a vehicle having an electrical system including a ground circuit that provides an operative connection from the electrical system to an electrical ground and an electric power generator driven by an engine of the vehicle, the generator arranged to selectively provide electric power to an electrical load of the vehicle and to selectively charge a battery of the vehicle, a fault detection system is provided for detecting an open circuit or high resistance fault in the ground circuit. The fault detection system includes: a controller that controls a voltage output of the generator so as to at least one of restrict or suspend charging or increase or start charging of the battery by the generator for a designated test period; and, determining means for determining a current discharge from or charging current into the battery during the test period, wherein if the determined current discharge or charging current is less than a given threshold, then an open circuit or high resistance fault is deemed to be detected in the ground circuit.

When any individual person or public corporation for example is to be specified from the object image obtained by shooting the person or the like, one image database of the attribute corresponding to various situations, or familiarity to the object image is selected automatically, and then the person or corporation is specified from the shot image while referring to the reference images stored in the image database of the selected attribute. Therefore, even if the sum of the reference images is increased, since they are subdivided and classified corresponding to the attributes, the number of the reference images for each attribute can be reduced, and further the image database of the optimal attribute can be selected automatically in conformity to the situation of recognition such as date, time and so on. Thus, the number of the reference images can be minimized without the user's intentional manipulation, and the reference images are narrowed down due to the additional information of the situation.
