A photoelectric conversion material is disclosed in the present invention and comprises at least a cone material. The cone material is composed of an isomer and comprises a plurality of grains. The sizes of the grains are arranged from smaller ones to larger ones along a direction. In the meantime, a method for fabricating the above photoelectric conversion material is also disclosed here. The method comprises the following steps. First, a precursor is provided. The precursor comprises at least a cone material and the cone material is a multilayer structured material, such as sodium titanate and potassium titanate, formed by stacking first materials and second materials. And then, the precursor is annealed to let the second materials leave from the cone material, and the cone material becomes the above photoelectric conversion material with a plurality of grains.

Disclosed is an inorganic material that can exhibit an excellent photocatalytic gas decomposition function while maintaining an abrasion resistance on a level that is usually required of this type of inorganic materials. The inorganic material includes an inorganic material base and a photocatalyst layer that is formed by firing and is provided on the surface of the inorganic material base, the photocatalyst layer containing: photocatalyst particles; zirconia particles having a BET specific surface area of not less than 10 m2/g or crystalline zirconia particles having a mean crystallite diameter of less than 20 nm; and an alkali silicate. The inorganic material including the photocatalyst layer exhibits a high photocatalytic gas decomposition function while maintaining an abrasion resistance on a level that is usually required of this type of inorganic materials.

The multifunctional paint is based on a highly porous inorganic substance created by a reaction of at least two components. TiO2 nanoparticles are attached to the surface of this substance. The first component is a water insoluble calcium compound and the second component is a water soluble sulfate. The method of applying the multifunctional paint on the surface is that the first component containing the water suspension of the insoluble calcium compound is applied on the treated area first and subsequently a mixture of TiO2 nanoparticles suspended in the water solution of the second component is applied over the first layer. Another way is to apply a water suspension of the first component containing also TiO2 nanoparticles on the treated surface and then deposit the water solution of the second component on the layer. A mixture of all components can be also applied on the treated area at once.

A method for photocatalytic activation of at least one surface of a structural component having a porous mineral binder matrix, which is produced from an aqueous mixture of at least one mineral, inorganic binder, and generally at least one aggregate, additive and/or admixture, applies water to the surface of the structural component to be photocatalytically activated, until a film of water forms, immediately afterward applies dry fine-particle binder meal particles and fine-particle photocatalytically active particles in meal form to the water film, reacts the binder meal particles with water of the water film, and allows the water film disappear. The binder meal particles harden to form binder stone having a hydrate crystal matrix so that the photocatalytically active particles are bound into the binder stone, with surfaces remaining free, and the hydrate crystal matrix of the binder stone firmly combines with the surface matrix of the structural component.
