Abstract:
A method of encouraging a user to be active with respect to a game networking system on a particular day is disclosed. An event is detected on the game networking system. A newsworthiness of the event to the user is determined. An action that the user is likely to want to perform on the game networking system in response to receiving information pertaining to the event is determined. A notification is generated that includes the information pertaining to the event and information pertaining to the action. The notification is sent to the user.
Abstract:
Embodiments are described herein that provide a media playback system controller with multiple graphical interfaces. In one aspect, a method is provided that involves (a) causing a graphical display to provide a first graphical interface including at least (i) a first input region and (ii) a first representation of a media item, (b) receiving a first input data indicating a selection within the first input region, (c) based on the received first input data, causing the graphical display to provide a second graphical interface including at least (i) an active region, (ii) an inactive region, and (iii) a second representation of the media item, (d) receiving a second input data indicating a selection within the active region, and (e) based on the received second input data, causing the graphical display to provide one or more media playback controls.
Abstract:
Methods of communicating location information from a subscriber to a repeater are described. The subscriber switches from a working channel to a data revert channel, transmits a request for a periodic or one-time window to transmit an update, and determines from grant information in the response announcement the allocated window and frame before switching back to the working channel. Before the allocated time, the subscriber switches to the data revert channel, confirms whether it remains scheduled to transmit the update from a repeater announcement, and if so transmits the location update in either the current or reserved window. The announcements from the repeater contain the identity of the next window and frame and the subscriber reserved to use the window in addition to grant information. The subscribers may or may not be time-aligned and the data and data revert channels may or may not be synchronized.
Abstract:
Method and systems are provided for displaying playback zone representations in a controller interface for a media playback system. A representation of a first playback zone in the media playback system may be displayed according to a collapsed format, and a representation of a second playback zone in the media playback system may be displayed in a position directly below the representation of the first playback zone. Upon determining that the first playback zone is associated with media content, an updated representation of the first playback zone may be displayed according to an expanded format that is larger than the collapsed format. The representation of the second playback zone may then be displayed in a position directly below the updated representation of the first playback zone.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for adding audio content to a playback queue. In one example, a method involves receiving a request to add automated streaming audio content to a particular playback position in a playback queue. The playback queue may indicate a plurality of audio content and a corresponding playback position associated with each of the plurality of audio content for playback. The method further involves determining a playback duration for the automated streaming audio content, adding the automated streaming audio content to the playback queue at the particular playback position, and causing the automated streaming audio content to be rendered at the particular playback position in the playback queue for the determined playback duration. The automated streaming audio content may include discrete automated streaming audio content and/or continuous automated streaming audio content. Respective examples for adding discrete and continuous automated streaming audio content are also provided.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are provided for playback of audio content in an “audition mode.” A system may be providing audio content to be rendered by a group of playback devices, when receiving a request to audition a second audio content with at least one playback device from the group of playback devices. The system may then suspend rendering of the first audio content at the at least one playback device, and provide the second audio content to be rendered by the at least one playback device for a duration of time. Upon exiting audition mode, either by completion of the second audio content, expiration of the duration of time, or request to exit audition mode, the system may resume rendering of the first audio content by the at least one playback device.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to provide content to a playback network are disclosed. An example method includes displaying an indicator of multimedia content to a user via a graphical user interface. The example method includes enabling a multiselect state to allow the user to select multiple items from a browseable list of indicators associated with multimedia content. The example method includes providing a context-sensitive menu including a plurality of options associated with playback of selected items based on enablement of the multiselect state. The example method includes applying an option to each of the selected items based on user selection. The example method includes passing information regarding the multimedia content to a playback system including one or more multimedia playback devices in response to user selection of the option.
Abstract:
Fractr is an entertaining, multi-level card game involving the fundamentals of math. It is inclusive of four operands that are central to the game. The Fractr also features a Fractr scale reading and special cards. One of the unique features of this game is that it is an educational game and also a fun game. The various math applications provide the basic building blocks needed throughout life. It also helps build confidence for those that are not entirely comfortable with math applications. Additionally, the multi-level feature enables the game to be stimulating for people of all ages.
Abstract:
A data processing system, method, and instructions executable on a computer inspect the quality of software code. A summary report is generated that summarizes aspects of the current status of a software project. The summary report may include which portions of code have been written, which have been edited to predetermined standards, and which remain to be written. Errors in the code may be identified. Warnings associated with portions of the code may be generated, as well as suggested changes to the code. For comparison, the suggested code changes may be displayed along side of the corresponding portions of the pre-existing code that the suggested code is intended to replace. Hard coded values may be automatically identified. Text elements corresponding to each hard coded value may be automatically created. Subsequently, each hard coded value may be automatically replaced by the corresponding text element. Revisions to pre-existing code may be inspected.
