Abstract:
A process for the preparation of an alumina in the form of beads with a sulphur content in the range 0.001% to 1% by weight and a sodium content in the range 0.001% to 1% by weight with respect to the total mass of said beads is described, said beads being prepared by shaping an alumina gel having a high dispersibility by drop coagulation. The alumina gel is itself prepared using a specific precipitation preparation process in order to obtain at least 40% by weight of alumina with respect to the total quantity of alumina formed at the end of the gel preparation process right from the first precipitation step, the quantity of alumina formed at the end of the first precipitation step possibly even reaching 100%. The invention also concerns the use of alumina beads as a catalyst support in a catalytic reforming process.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to the field of the conversion of hydrocarbons and more particularly to that of catalytic reforming. A subject matter of the invention is a process employing at least two reaction zones, two reduction zones and one regeneration zone, and in which the effluents from the reduction zones are recycled, at least in part, at the top of each reaction zone.
Abstract:
A process for preparing a powder support containing alumina and silica or their derivatives for a catalyst of a Fischer-Tropsch type reaction, including stage (a) of preparing a first reactant containing an alumina compound or precursor including a reaction for peptization of an alumina compound or precursor in the presence of an acid, to form solid particles in suspension, stage (b) of preparing a second reactant based on silicic acid and/or on a compound or precursor of silicic acid, including a controlled aging treatment of the silicic acid targeted at its polymerization up to a degree of conversion of the silicic acid of at most 70%, stage (c) of mixing the two reactants in a mixer, and the pH of the first reactant is adjusted to a value not exceeding a given maximum pH threshold.
Abstract:
The present invention concerns spheroidal alumina particles characterized by a BET specific surface area in the range 150 to 300 m2/g, a mean particle diameter in the range 1.2 to 3 mm and a particle diameter dispersion, expressed as the standard deviation, not exceeding 0.1, a total pore volume, measured by mercury porosimetry, in the range 0.50 to 0.85 mL/g, a degree of macroporosity within a particle of less than 30%, and in which the dispersion of the diameters of the macropores, expressed as the ratio D90/D50, does not exceed 8.The invention also concerns processes for the preparation of said particles as well as catalysts comprising said particles as a support, and their use in catalytic hydrocarbon treatment processes, in particular in a catalytic reforming process.
Abstract:
This invention has as its object a process for selective hydrogenation of an unsaturated olefinic feedstock that comprises 3 or 4 carbon atoms, using at least two switchable fixed-bed reactors, each containing at least one catalytic bed and in which said feedstock successively passes through all of the reactors, and in which, each time that one of the reactors is deactivated, the point of introduction of the feedstock is moved downstream.
