Abstract: A process for conversion of hydrocarbon feedstock into lighter olefins of C2 to C4 carbons, the process comprising of cracking the hydrocarbon feedstock in a reactor in the presence of a catalyst. The catalyst for short contact time catalytic cracking process of heavy hydrocarbons having contact time less than 1 second to produce light olefins of C2 to C4 carbon in the range of 40 to 60 wt % on fresh feed basis in a fluidized bed reactor which is concentric downflow reactor in presence of catalyst consisting of ultra-stable Y zeolite in the range of 5-10 wt %, 4 to 8 wt % of pentasil zeolite, 2.5-5 wt % of bottom selective material, 0.5-2 wt % of rare earth and 75-88 wt % of support material.

Abstract: The present invention provides a process for a production of light olefins and aromatics from cracked light naphtha by selective cracking. The present invention thus provides a process for up grading cracked olefinic naphtha to high value petrochemical feed stocks. This process is based on catalytic cracking in which the catalyst activity is optimized by depositing coke for production of light olefins and aromatics. The proposed process has high flexibility and can be operated either in maximizing olefins as reflected from the PIE ratio or in maximizing aromatics (BTX) at different modes of operation depending upon the product requirement.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a hydrocracking reactor system and a process utilizing the same for upgrading heavy hydrocarbonaceous material to value-added products. Accordingly, an aspect of the present invention includes dispersing a liquid feedstock pre-mixed with a catalyst from top of a reactor vessel to obtain dispersed droplets having a predetermined droplet size less than 500 μm, introducing a gaseous feed comprising primarily of hydrogen from bottom of the reactor vessel to form a continuous gaseous phase throughout a cross-section of the reactor vessel, and allowing the dispersed droplets to contact the continuous gaseous phase throughout the cross-section of the reactor vessel to form reaction effluent comprising one or more lighter product hydrocarbons. The method may further include removing at least a top portion and at least a bottom portion of the reaction effluent from the reactor vessel.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method for achieving progressive reduction of flue gas is disclosed. Accordingly, an aspect of the present invention is to provide an apparatus comprising of an orifice chamber having an inlet pipe for receiving the flue gas, a flow region defined downstream of an exit of the inlet pipe and having at least a first section and a second section, and an outlet pipe to disperse a pressure reduced flue gas. The first section defined downstream of the inlet pipe has a flow developer means and at least one auxiliary orifice plate. The second section defined downstream of the first section has a plurality of orifice plates spaced apart along a flow length of the second section.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a novel catalyst composition for catalytic cracking of hydrocarbon streams to enhance the yield of light olefins. The catalyst composition for the cracking of hydrocarbon feed streams to light olefins, comprises a USY zeolite with silica/alumina ratio of more than 40, pentasil zeolite, a phosphate compound and alumina silica binder. The yield of olefins is further increased when the catalyst composition is impregnated with a cerium oxide. The present invention also provides a process of increasing the yield of light olefins from hydrocarbon feed streams comprising contacting the hydrocarbon streams with catalyst compositions of the present invention.

Abstract: The present invention relates to an integrated method for methane rich biogas production from anaerobe systems using multiple reactors and various types of on-site selective enriched microbial consortium production. Biomass/organic waste is converted to biogas rich in methane content and minimum or absence of hydrogen sulphide content at reduced hydraulic retention time (HRT). More particularly, the present invention relates to an on-site enrichment of selective microbe with specified biochemical function and its dosage into the respective digester at regular time intervals which improve the biomass conversion through biochemical steps, resulting into maximum production of methane rich biogas in a self-controlled biochemical function inside each bioreactor in a comparatively lesser time intervals.
