摘要: The present invention provides a release coated film, an adhesive tape comprising a release coated film, and processes for preparing the same. The fluoropolymer release layer comprises a graft copolymer of (i) a base polymer containing polymerized units derived from monomers having terminal olefinic double bonds, and (ii) a moiety comprising a fluoroaliphatic group. The film may be coextruded and may subsequently be oriented in at least one direction. Alternately, the release coating can be extrusion coated onto a backing and may be subsequently oriented if the backing is orientable. Adhesives may be coated onto the release coated films either before or after orientation, or they may be coextruded along with the release coating and/or backing.

摘要: The present invention provides a release coated film, an adhesive tape comprising a release coated film, and processes for preparing the same. 摘要: A method for forming a polylactide film includes the steps (a) through (c). In step (a), a treated tool surface is provided with a release coating. The treated tool surface is maintained at a predetermined temperature of about the glass transition temperature of the polylactide or higher. In step (b) the treated tool surface is contacted with a molten polylactide composition to provide a polylactide film The film is at least partially crystalline, and the crystallinity of the polylactide film is enhanced due to exposure of the molten polylactide composition to the treated tool surface at the predetermined temperature. In step (c) the polylactide film is removed from the treated tool surface. Additionally, a film is provided that is made by the foregoing method, and the film may be formed into an article or a part of an article. In some cases, the article is a disposable garment such as a diaper. In other cases, the article may be a tape made with the foregoing film, where the film includes first and second major surfaces and a layer of adhesive on at least one of the major surfaces.

摘要: There is provided a block, segmented or graft copolymer having polyorganosiloxane segments and self-associating hard segments, which copolymer is capable of forming a solid, generally non-tacky release coating without the requirement of curing. The release coating comprises the polyorganosiloxane copolymer admixed with an MQ resin wherein the amount of MQ resin is generally between 1 and 30 weight percent of the polyorganosiloxane content preferably 1 to 20 weight percent. The MQ resin modifies the copolymer release material to have a higher release than the copolymer itself, generally at least 10 percent and preferable at least 20 percent up to 50 percent or higher with the readhesion values decreasing by 50 percent or less, preferably 40 percent or less.

A pressure-sensitive adhesive of suitable rheology can be provided by a blend of an AB block copolymer, such as a copolymer of styrene and either isoprene or butadiene, and tackifying resin, preferably a mixture of liquid and solid tackifying resins.
