摘要： A broadband wireless communication system supporting a frequency overlay scheme is provided. An operating method of a base station includes allocating relative addresses to Resource Blocks in at least one operating Frequency Assignment (FA) of a terminal according to an addressing scheme for the terminal; generating at least one resource indicator represented with the relative addresses; generating resource allocation information which comprises the at least one resource indicator; and transmitting the resource allocation information through a primary FA of the terminal.

摘要： Disclosed is a system and a method of signal transmission/reception by a mobile station in a wireless communication system. The method includes: transmitting a first sub-band preparation indicator, which indicates that the mobile station has been prepared for transmission/reception of a signal through a first sub-band, to a base station through a primary band; transmitting a first sub-band failure indicator to the base station through the primary band upon detecting failure in transmitting the first sub-band preparation indicator; receiving sub-band information on a second sub-band, which is different from the first sub-band, from the BS through the primary band; and acquiring synchronization with the second sub-band, so as to enable transmission/reception of a signal through the second sub-band based on the sub-band information.

摘要： A system and method for transmitting and receiving frequency allocation information based on identification information in a frequency overlay system are provided. The method includes transmitting a frame of a first Frequency Allocation (FA) to Mobile Stations (MSs) by inserting control information and identification information of the MSs to which frequency resources are allocated into the first FA frame, and transmitting a second frame indicating a second FA the MSs by inserting the identification information and a resource indication of the first FA into the second FA frame. Thereby, an overhead can be reduced and a frequency resource can be used efficiently.

A method for packet transmission of a packet of a transmitting end includes dividing one encoded packet into a plurality of parts, mapping a plurality the plurality of parts of the packet to the FAs through the plurality of different FAs transmission, when a re-transmission request is received, re-mapping the plurality of parts of the packet to the FAs such that at least one of the at least one of the plurality of parts is re-mapped to an FA that is different than an FA previously mapped thereto. Retransmitting the encoded packet by at least one of a number of subunits.

A Mobile Station (MS) spreads a transmission signal to generate a spreading signal, receives, from a Base Station (BS), information on a second spreading signal transmission region, extended from a first spreading signal transmission region, and maps the generated spreading signal to a subcarrier in the second spreading signal transmission region. A Base Station (BS) transmits information on a second spreading signal transmission region extended from a first spreading signal transmission region, for reception of a spreading signal, receives a spreading signal mapped to subcarriers over the second spreading signal transmission region, from an Mobile Station (MS), detects a spreading signal from the spread signal mapped to the subcarriers, and despreads the detected spreading signal to restore a transmission signal.
