摘要: Herein is disclosed a method for ink or coating density compensation by means of applying calculated additional ink/coating to the pre-decorated substrate or film, and by additionally, if needed, apply colour-correction to pre-decoration print files to compensate for higher-than-desired ink density colour shifts. The method includes the steps of providing a flat polymer web having a uniform grid pattern of grid markers printed thereon, and then thermally transforming the web to form a three-dimensional target grid. The target grid is then digitized and the change in the spacing of the grid markers is measured and recorded. The recorded transformed spacing for each grid marker is then used to modify the initial graphics file to compensate for ink-density irregularities resulting from the shrinking and stretching deformations of the substrate during thermal transformation.

摘要: A system and a method for transforming graphical images. Graphical images are adapted by the present invention to be applied to a three-dimensional topography of a substrate. After the image is applied to the substrate, the image then appears in proportion and conforms to the (topography of the substrate. In an embodiment, the present invention comprises a method for creating at least one transformed graphical image. The topography of a substrate is measured by using a digitizing apparatus to obtain at least one image of the topography of a measurement article. The digitizing apparatus comprises at least one sensor that is electronically interconnected with a computer memory. The at least one image of the measurement article is transmitted into the computer memory. A graphical image is transformed in computer memory in accordance with the measurements of the topography of the measurement article to result in a transformed graphical image.

摘要: In some embodiments, the disclosure relates generally to methods as well as related compositions, systems, kits and apparatus comprising linking proteins to target compounds and/or to locations of interest using tethers. For example, the tether can used to link the protein to a target compound, for example, to link an enzyme to a substrate. Similarly, the tether can be used to link the protein at or near a desired location on a surface. In one group of embodiments, the tether includes a polynucleotide and the target compound or location on the surface includes another polynucleotide that is capable of hybridizing to the tether. In such bodiments, the tether can be used to link the protein to the target compound or location using nucleic acid hybridization.

摘要: The present invention relates generally to systems and methods for assessing blood flow in blood vessels, for assessing vascular health, for conducting clinical trials, for screening therapeutic interventions for adverse effects, and for assessing the effects of risk factors, therapies and substances, including therapeutic substances, on blood vessels, especially cerebral blood vessels, all achieved by measuring various parameters of blood flow in one or more vessels and analyzing the results in a defined matter. The relevant parameters of blood flow include mean flow velocity, systolic acceleration, and pulsatility index. By measuring and analyzing these parameters, one can ascertain the vascular health of a particular vessel, multiple vessels and an individual. Such measurements can also determine whether a substance has an effect, either deleterious or advantageous, on vascular health. In one of many embodiments, the present invention further provides an expert system for achieving the above.

摘要: A method for transforming a two-dimensional graphic image into a two-dimensional distorted image which can then be used to recreate an accurate representation of the two-dimensional graphic image when applied onto a 3D surface. The method includes the steps of producing and identifying a target 3D grid from a plurality of flat polymer webs each having a grid pattern printed thereon, the target 3D grid bearing an accurate representation of the 3D surface. The three-dimensional shape of the target grid is then digitized to form a geometric model of the target grid as a series of data points. Creating a uniform smooth 3D model from the series of data points and then texture mapping the two-dimensional graphic image onto the uniform smooth 3D model to create a texture map. The two-dimensional distorted image is then created from the texture map and the two-dimensional graphic image.

摘要: A self-assisted shoulder passive range of motion (SA-PROM) apparatus. The apparatus includes a forearm support adapted to receive the forearm of the affected arm, a double pulley assembly, a single pulley connectable to an elevated support such as an upper door edge, and a main support rope, one end of which is attached to the double pulley, the other end having an enlarged handle. A central portion of the main support rope is engagable over the single pulley. A secondary rope arrangement which is preferably formed of a single length of rope, is attached to each of a plurality of holes formed through said forearm support in proximity to each end and each side margin of the forearm support and arranged over the secondary pulleys to self-regulate pitch and roll movement of the forearm support. The affected arm may be passively raised and lowered through a range of motion by pulling on the handle with the unaffected arm.
