摘要: A mold is described for the molding of substantially isotropic isocyanate-based polymer foam buns. The mold is a box mold which has sidewalls of which at least one pair disposed in parallel relationship is adapted to move outwardly when subjected to pressure exerted by the expanding foam during the molding operation. The outward movement of the sidewalls is controlled by stops provided on the periphery of the mold floor, said sidewalls being free to slide over the surface of the floor. The lid of the mold is supported in sliding engagement with the upper edges of the sidewalls. The mold and the process of fabricating foam buns therewith is particularly suitable for use in situations (e.g. operation in the field) in which it is not possible or practicable to employ continuous bunstock machines. The mold is relatively inexpensive and readily dismantled for transportation to a fabrication site.

摘要: Disclosed are novel polyol blends comprising from about 20 percent to about 85 percent by weight of said blend of an amine triol, or mixture of amine triols selected from the formula ##STR1## wherein R is an aliphatic radical having from 8 to 18 carbon atoms, inclusive, each R.sub.1 is independently selected from the group consisting of hydrogen or methyl, x, y, and z each independently have an average value from about 1 to about 5 inclusive, n is 2 or 3; and from about 15 percent to about 80 percent by weight of a primary hydroxyl polyol characterized by a molecular weight of from about 60 to about 1000.The polyol blends are miscible with fluorocarbon blowing agents and water and other adjuvants including trimerization catalysts. The novel blends are particularly useful in an improved process for the preparation of polyisocyanurate foams. The foams are characterized by high reaction exotherms making such foams particularly suited to the preparation of polyisocyanurate foam laminates.

摘要: A roof tile installation assembly having a plurality of battens, each having a front end portion and a back end portion, and defining a channel between the front end portion and the back end portion, and at least one roof tile having a front end and a back end, the back end having a downwardly protruding flange. In use, the plurality of battens are preferably arranged parallel to one another on a rooftop so that the front end portion of each batten is toward the eave of the rooftop and the back end portion of each batten is toward the peak of the rooftop, and each roof tile flange is preferably arranged to be received by a batten channel so that the roof tile is substantially constrained from moving forward or backward relative to the batten so that the front end of each roof tile is arranged to be supported by the next adjacent batten.

摘要: The present invention is an insulated pitched roof system for a sloped deck in which an insulating component is adhered to the sloped deck and the roof tiles are adhered to the insulating component with an adhesive, preferably a polymer adhesive. The insulating component includes a board or sheet material which is adhered to the roof deck. The insulating component is preferably adhered directly to the roof deck with a polymer adhesive. The insulating component preferably includes interlocking sides for forming a water tight connection between adjacently joined insulating components. Additionally, the insulating components include an end lap portion to form an overlapping portion between adjacent rows of insulating components. In a preferred embodiment, the overlapping portion is adhered together to form a unitary insulative and waterproof layer.

摘要: A dispensing gun assembly including a gun body having a handle and a housing attached to the gun body. The housing includes first and second fluid passageways and first and second valve receiving bores. The fluid passageways are segregated from one another within the housing. First and second valves are received in the valve receiving bores. Each valve has open and closed positions and the valves move within the valve receiving bores when changing between the open and closed positions. A trigger member controllably contacts the valves and a nozzle assembly is connected to the housing.

摘要: A two component polyurethane adhesive and a method of bonding construction materials to various construction substrates. The adhesive being the reaction product of two separate components that are mixed together immediately prior to application upon dispensing onto a substrate. The first part of the adhesive, referred to as the "A-side," may be either an NCO terminated prepolymer or a polymeric MDI (methylene diphenyl diisocyanate). The second part of the adhesive, referred to as the "B-side," is a blend of rigid, elastomeric, and flexible polyols and extenders. The adhesive formed by mixing the A-side and B-side components, is a frothing foam that has a consistency such that it does not run or drip when applied to the substrate, that expands upon application to the substrate surface to fill voids or imperfections, that collapses when the material to be bonded is placed in contact with the adhesive, and that has a rapid cure time.
