An optical member and a method for producing this optical member are provided. The optical member is composed of an injection molded article. The injection molded article includes a glutarimide resin that contains a glutarimide unit having an imidocarbonyl group provided by the imidization of a carbonyl group deriving from (meth)acrylate ester monomer, a repeat unit deriving from (meth)acrylate ester monomer, and a repeat unit deriving from aromatic vinyl monomer. The glutarimide resin has an orientation birefringence of −0.5×10−3 to 0.5×10−3, a photoelastic constant of −3.0×10−12 Pa−1 to 3.0×10−12 Pa−1, and a glass transition temperature of at least 125° C. The average value of the phase difference of the optical member is not more than 20 nm.
Abstract:
A masterbatch (C) containing thermally expandable microcapsules (A) and a carrier resin composition (B) is provided. The carrier resin composition (B) contains a carrier resin (B1) and a plasticizer (B2), the carrier resin (B1) being an acrylic resin having a weight average molecular weight of 8,000 or more and 350,000 or less, and the plasticizer (B2) being an acrylic plasticizer having a weight average molecular weight of 1,000 or more and 20,000 or less. The carrier resin composition (B) is substantially compatible with a polycarbonate resin and has a shear viscosity of 1.0 Pa·s or more and 1.5×106 Pa·s or less at 80° C. The occurrence of whitening is suppressed and a good appearance can be obtained in an injection molded foam made with the masterbatch. A polycarbonate resin composition, an injection molded foam, and a method for producing an injection molded foam are provided.

A halogen-free flame retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition contains 5 to 80 parts by weight of a phosphorus flame retardant (B) having a polyester structure in the main chain, 20 to 120 parts by weight of a nitrogen compound (C), 1 to 50 parts by weight of talc (D), and 0.1 to 2 parts by weight of an anti-dripping agent (E), based on 100 parts by weight of a polybutylene terephthalate resin (A) and exhibits a comparative tracking index of 400 V or higher in a tracking resistance test in accordance with IEC60112. The halogen-free flame retardant polybutylene terephthalate resin composition does not contain a halogen containing flame retardant, has high flame retardancy and high tracking resistance, and can be suitably used as members for electric/electronic parts.

An object of the invention is to provide an electric/electronic component including a flame-retardant polyester-based resin composition, which uses no halogen-based flame retardant, has high flame retardancy, and can withstand long-term continuous use at high temperature. The electric/electronic component includes a flame-retardant polyester-based resin composition containing 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polyester-based resin (A), 5 to 80 parts by weight of a polymer-type organophosphorus flame retardant (B) whose main chain has a polyester structure, 1 to 20 parts by weight of an amorphous thermoplastic super engineering plastic (C), 5 to 120 parts by weight of a fibrous inorganic compound (D), and 5 to 50 parts by weight of a non-fibrous inorganic compound (E).

A resin composition includes 5 to 82 parts by weight of an aromatic polyester, 0 to 50 parts by weight of an aromatic polycarbonate, 10 to 90 parts by weight of a highly heat-resistant aromatic polycarbonate, 0 to 10 parts by weight of a graft-copolymer, 0 to 10 parts by weight of an ethylene copolymer, 2.5 to 50 parts by weight of a silicate filler, 0 to 10 parts by weight of an electric conductive filler, and 0 to 2 parts by weight of a phosphorus compound wherein the total amount of the components are 100 parts by weight. The total amount of the graft-copolymer and the ethylene copolymer is from 0.5 to 10 parts by weight, the silicate filler is at least one compound selected from mica and kaolin, and the resin composition has a deflection temperature under load of 130° C. or higher.
