    Abstract: Disclosed is an air purification system (10) comprising an air purifier apparatus (50) for removing a pollutant from air, a sensor (21, 23) for sensing a concentration of the air pollutant and a scent release apparatus (40) responsive to a scent release signal, wherein the air purification system further comprises a processor (31) adapted to monitor the pollutant concentration from sensor data received from the sensor and to generate the scent release signal upon the monitored pollutant concentration falling below a defined threshold. Also disclosed is a method of generating a scented atmosphere in a room housing an air purification apparatus (50) for removing a pollutant from the air in the room.

    Abstract: An arrangement (1) for air management of a room (100) comprises ventilating means (10) for enabling exchange of air between the inside environment (102) of the room (100) and the outside environment (103) of the room (100); a stand-alone air purifier (20), which is arranged separately from the ventilating means (10), and which is adapted to remove pollutants from the air in the inside environment (102) of the room (100); and a control system (30, 31, 32), which is in communication with both the ventilating means (10) and the air purifier (20), and which is adapted to control operation of the ventilating means (10) and the air purifier (20) in dependence of air quality data relating to the inside environment (102) of the room and the outside environment (103) of the room, the control system (30,31,32) being configured to control the ventilating means (10) and the air purifier (20) differently depending on whether the air quality data relating to the outside environment of the room (100) is above or below a predetermined reference. Operation of the arrangement (1) is aimed at optimizing indoor air quality and minimizing energy consumption.

    Abstract: An air purification apparatus (100) for purifying air in a target space external to the apparatus is disclosed that comprises at least one pollutant removal structure (130; 131, 132) for removing a pollutant from the air in fluid connection with a major vent (110) and a directional vent arrangement comprising a directional inlet (112) for drawing air into the air purification apparatus from a region of the target space in an aiming direction of the directional inlet; and a directional outlet (114) for expelling air in a further aiming direction towards the region. An air movement device (120; 121, 122) configured to move air from the directional inlet to the major vent in a first configuration and to move air from the major vent to the directional outlet through the at least one pollutant removal structure in a second configuration responsive to a controller (150) is also present, as well as a sensor (140) arranged to determine a concentration of the pollutant in the air in said region when the air movement device is in the first orientation, wherein the controller is responsive to the sensor and is adapted to switch the air movement device from the first configuration to the second configuration upon the concentration of the pollutant exceeding a defined pollutant concentration threshold.

    Abstract: A sleep monitoring system (10) for monitoring the sleep of a pair of subject comprises a pair of C02 sensors (21,21′) for mounting in different sleeping regions within a space (1) and a processor (31) communicatively coupled to the pair of CO2 sensors. The processor is adapted to, for each CO2 sensor in a particular sleeping region, monitor (203) a CO2 concentration from sensor data produced by the CO2 sensor in said particular sleeping region to detect a presence of a subject in said sleeping region; to register (207) the monitored CO2 concentration upon detecting (205) said presence; to determine (303) a degree of crosstalk between said CO2 sensors upon detecting said presence; and to derive (305, 313) sleep pattern information for said subject from the registered CO2 concentration during said presence as a function of the determined degree of crosstalk, wherein the sleep pattern information comprises at least an indication that the subject is awake and an indication that the subject is asleep.
