摘要: A system-enabled vehicle entering a crossing warns a driver of the vehicle that a possibility of bumping exists, thereby allowing the driver to brake and stop the vehicle in an emergency in front of the crossing. When the system determines a possibility of bumping with another vehicle entering the crossing exists, the system continuously provides controls for decelerating and stopping the vehicle in a range from a point where the system can decelerate the vehicle in an emergency with time allowance for stopping the vehicle in front of the crossing up to a point in front of the crossing.

摘要: The present invention provides a collision in right/left turn prevention system which can automatically stop a vehicle even when a driver of the vehicle can not correctly grasp a course of a vehicle running in the counter direction because of the road line form or because the counter vehicle is hid behind other vehicles, or when a velocity of the counter vehicle is faster than that estimated by the driver. This system comprises a vehicle running in the counter direction detection means; road surface conditions detection means; database means; vehicle position detection means; vehicles state detection means; determination processing means for selecting any of provision of information to the driver, generation of an alarm, and provision of controls over the vehicle based on information concerning vehicles from the vehicle running in the counter direction detection means, information concerning road line forms from the database means, information concerning a position of the vehicle from the vehicle position detection means, and other information concerning the vehicle itself from the vehicle state detection means, an information output section for providing information or generating an alarm to the driver, and vehicle control means for automatically controlling the vehicle.

摘要: The collision with pedestrian prevention system according to the present invention comprises pedestrian detection means, road surface conditions detection means, road information accumulation means, vehicle position detection means, vehicle state detection means, processing means, information output means, and vehicle control means. Because of the configuration, the driver is alerted the presence of any pedestrian on a pedestrian's crossing and can immediately correct operations for handling the vehicle without being perplexed by the information just about to finish crossing the road. This system works only when there is the possibility of collision between a pedestrian on a pedestrian's crossing and a vehicle, and provides automatic controls for decelerating or stopping the vehicle when the driver can stop the vehicle by emergently braking over a distance from the vehicle to the pedestrian's crossing.

摘要: A novel constant-speed drive system for automotive vehicles is disclosed, in which in response to an instruction for constant-speed drive while the vehicle is under acceleration, it is decided whether the vehicle acceleration at that particular time is higher than a predetermined value, and in accordance with the result of this decision, the change rate of the opening of the throttle valve is determined by use of an equation in which the value of a factor is set accordingly. In the case where the acceleration is comparatively high, the value of the factor may be changed to improve the responsiveness of the change rate of the opening of the throttle valve with the change in vehicle speed, thus making it possible to fully prevent the overshoot of the running vehicle speed.

摘要: A demagnetizer for removing residual magnetism in vehicles includes a single coil which is adapted to surround a portion or the whole of the body of a vehicle. A direct current and alternating current are supplied to the single coil simultaneously to produce a d.c. magnetic field and an a.c. magnetic field. The direction and magnitude of the d.c. magnetic field are so arranged, that the d.c. magnetic field cancels the external magnetic field. The magnitude of the a.c. magnetic field is varied within a predetermined range periodically to remove the residual magnetism.

摘要: A demagnetizing apparatus for removing residual magnetism in the body of an automobile which is equipped with a magnetic bearing indicator. A first and a second coil are wound around a substantially flat frame of a non-magnetic material to produce respectively a fixed d.c. magnetic field and a controllable a.c. magnetic field in orthogonal directions with each other and along flat surfaces of the substantially flat frame. The substantially flat frame with coils is positioned adjacent to but spaced from a body portion such as a roof, door or floor of the automobile, so that the d.c. magnetic field produced by the first coil cancel the external magnetic field caused by the terrestrial magnetism. The a.c. magnetic field is controlled to be intensified and weakened alternately thereby to remove the residual magnetism of the body portion without being influenced by the external magnetic field.

摘要: In a speed control system for vehicles, a speed difference calculation circuit calculates an absolute value of a time difference between a predetermined period of time corresponding with a desired speed and an instant period of time corresponding with the actual speed, an acceleration calculation circuit calculates an absolute value of a time difference between the respective instant periods of time, and a correction signal generator calculates a sum of the absolute values in consideration with the actual speed when each sign of the calculated time differences is positive or negative and calculates a difference between the absolute values in consideration with the actual speed when respective signs of the calculated time differences are opposite to each other. The signal generator selectively produces correction signals related to the calculated sum and the calculated difference. A distribution circuit produces a control signal in response to the respective correction signals, and an actuator controls the opening angle of the engine throttle in response to the control signal.

摘要: A system for warning the driver of an acceleration or deceleration of a vehicle. A wheel sensor detects wheel rotational speeds N.sub.i and N.sub.i + 1 during two predetermined time intervals T.sub.i and T.sub.i + 1. The absolute value of the difference .vertline.N.sub.i - N.sub.i + 1 .vertline. between the rotational speeds is computed by a computing circuit. Indicating means gives an indication of acceleration when the difference is greater than a predetermined value and when the speed difference is negative, whereas an indication of deceleration is given when the speed difference is positive.
