摘要： A bolt-on replacement intake manifold has an asymmetrical plenum with a first end including an inlet, a closed terminal end, a concave top surface and a convex bottom surface; a flange; and a plurality of runners extending from the bottom surface of the plenum and terminating at the flange. The plenum defines an interior space in flow communication with the runners. The bottom surface of the plenum is wider than the top surface. The plenum initially widens from the inlet to the first runner and then begins to narrow from the first runner toward the last runner adjacent to the closed terminal end. The runners are tapered, curved, and vary in length. The intake manifold causes air to exit each of the plurality of runners at substantially the same angle. The manifold balances airflow across each runner and increases swirl inside the cylinders enhancing fuel economy, power output, and torque.

摘要： A pacemaker optimising apparatus comprising: a component (4) which noninvasively or invasively monitors a haemodynamic measurement continuously in an individual and a processor (15) for receiving the haemodynamic measure and generating a pacemaker programming signal in response to this. There is also provided a communication device (17) for sending the pacemaker programming signal to the control system of the pacemaker (2). There is also a method for an efficient process by which this apparatus can automatically use the haemodynamic measurements to determine the ideal settings for a particular pacemaker in a particular individual, and to updates the pacemaker's settings accordingly.

摘要： Methods are provided for hydrotreating a feed to generate a product with a reduced or minimized aromatics content and/or an increased distillate product yield. A distillate boiling range feed having an elevated content of sulfur and/or nitrogen can be hydrotreated using at least two hydrotreating stages with intermediate separation to produce a hydrotreated distillate boiling range product with a reduced or minimized aromatics content. Additionally or alternately, a mixed metal catalyst formed from a suitable precursor can be used during the hydrotreating. A mixed metal catalyst formed from a suitable precursor can provide an unexpectedly superior activity for aromatic saturation. A still further unexpected benefic can be achieved by combining a multi-stage hydrotreating process with intermediate separation with hydrotreating in the presence of a mixed metal catalyst formed from a suitable precursor.
