    摘要: A plasma display panel is provided in which an operational quality is prevented from being deteriorated by resonance of a substrate. The plasma display panel includes a partition for dividing a discharge gas space defined by a pair of substrates and a sealing material in accordance with a cell arrangement of a display screen. There is a void space between the upper surface of the end portion of the partition and the surface of the opposed substrate, the surfaces contacting each other. The natural frequency of the portion from the inner edge of the void space to the inner edge of the sealing material is raised above audio frequency region of a human.

    摘要: This invention provides a process for producing a crystallized polyester resin molding. The process includes melting and injecting the below-described first or second compound (a) or (b) into a mold and holding the same in the mold, and then conducting cooling to crystallize a polyester resin of a resulting molding without using an inorganic nucleating agent: (a) a first compound of a crystallization-inducing crosslinked polyester resin, in at least a portion of which crosslinked points have been formed with a crosslink forming agent, and a first non-crosslinked polyester resin; or (b) a second compound of a crystallization-inducing master batch, which comprises the crosslinked polyester resin and a second non-crosslinked polyester resin and abundantly contains the crosslinked polyester resin, and the first non-crosslinked polyester resin. According to the present invention, a crystallized polyester resin molding free from impairment of translucency or transparency can be produced without using an inorganic nucleating agent that would produce haze in the molding.

    摘要: A driving method of a PDP which discharges between respective adjacent display electrodes, wherein wasteful light emission caused by inefficiency of reset operation is reduced. The driving method being provided with a lattice shaped rib and an interlace driving method. By driving waveforms to respective display electrodes, the reset operation is performed to only one of odd-numbered and even-numbered display lines according to interlace driving of adjacent even-numbered and odd-numbered display lines. A pair of display electrodes of the other of the even-numbered and odd-numbered display lines being a non-objective of the reset operation, potential difference thereof is set to be 0 or smaller than a discharge starting voltage. In an odd-numbered field, the even-numbered display line is reset, and in an even-numbered field, the odd-numbered display line is reset.

    摘要: A magnetic scale is disclosed wherein a magnetic member is protected with certainty to effectively enhance the durability. The magnetic scale includes a magnetic member provided between outside and inside pipe members and has magnetic graduations magnetized alternately with the N and S poles along the extending direction thereof. When the magnetic member and the inside pipe member are assembled in the outside pipe member, the inside pipe member contacts partly with an inner face of the outside pipe member and partly with a back face of the magnetic member in such a manner as to cover the overall back face. The outer face of the inside pipe member presses the back face of the magnetic member over the overall length so that the close contact face of the magnetic member is closely contacted with the inner face of the outside pipe member.

    摘要: A plasma display system has a plasma display panel including a pair of base plates for forming a plurality of discharge cells therebetween, and a plurality of pairs of electrodes for sustaining discharge to form plasma through a dielectric substance thereon in the discharge cells. The pairs of electrodes for sustaining discharge are disposed on a same one of the pair of base plates. The plasma display panel is configured such that a discharge current integrated over 40% of a discharge time Td from a start of the discharge time Td is smaller than a discharge current integrated over a remainder of the discharge time Td in one discharge, wherein the discharge time Td is defined as a time interval over which a discharge current does not drop to less than 5% of its maximum value in one discharge.

    摘要: A decoration sheet is retained on the cavity periphery by a sheet clamp in such a state that it is projected into a molding cavity of a female die. Then the decoration sheet is heated and softened by a curved hot platen, and thereafter it is drawn through suction ports of the female die to bring the sheet into close fit to the inner periphery of the molding cavity. The deformation amount of the decoration sheet heated and softened is decreased in premolding the sheet into the molding cavity surface of the female die. Therefore, distortion of the decoration sheet, appearance of wrinkles, and breakage thereof become little. Next, the female die and the male die are coupled with each other to effect die clamping, and a molten resin is poured to fill the molding cavity to effect injection molding.
