摘要: A biocompatible composite includes a solid biocompatible material and stem cells attached thereto. The biocomposite provides a stable interface with endogenous tissue and the implanted composition resulting in accelerated repair to damaged bones and tissues. A method of repairing bone includes the steps of obtaining live stem cells from a patient to be treated or a haplotype matched donor and culturing the stem cells with a biocompatible material. The stem cells attach to a surface of the biocompatible material to form a biocompatible composite. The biocompatible composite is positioned in proximity to bone to be treated, wherein said stem cell provides an interface between the biocompatible material, thus allowing the stem cells provided by the biocomposite to accelerate healing of the bone.
