Abstract:
A heat-sealing device for liquid-filled tubes has a pair of openable pressing members 23, 24. One of the pressing members, 23, is provided in a pressing face 31 thereof with upper and lower two pressing pads 34, 35 extending in parallel to each other for pressing the tube T along and at respective opposite sides of each of the portions to be cut. The other pressing member 24 is provided in a pressing face 36 thereof with a U-shaped high-frequency coil 38 having upper and lower two straight portions 42, 43 extending in parallel to each other for heating the tube T along and at the respective sides of each portion to be cut. The pressing face 36 of the other pressing member 24 has upper and lower sealer portions 44, 45 each divided into a primary sealing portion 51, secondary sealing portion 52 and tertiary sealing portion 53. When the pressing members 23, 24 are closed, the primary sealing portions 51, 51 are parallel to the forward end faces of the pressing pads 34, 35 respectively, and the secondary sealing portions 52, 52 are so inclined as to gradually recede from the forward end faces of the respective pads 34, 35 as the sealing portions 52 extend outward.
Abstract:
A heat sealing device for a tubular packaging material which is made of a heat-sealable paper-base laminate having an aluminum foil layer and which is to be cut transversely thereof into lengths comprises a U-shaped high-frequency coil provided in a pressing surface of one of a pair of press members and having two straight portions extending in parallel to each other for heating the packaging material at opposite sides of each cutting portion therealong. Two strip-like magnetic members are arranged on the outer side of the respective straight portions and extend approximately over the entire length of the straight portions. Each of the two straight portions has a ridge extending longitudinally of the straight portion at each of two portions of the entire length thereof for individually applying an increased pressure to opposite side edge portions of the material. The ridge has a circular-arc contour in cross section.
Abstract:
A high-frequency heat-sealing apparatus is provided which is capable of achieving a satisfactory seal in which a sealed zone is narrower in its width than at its central portion and in which contaminants such as liquid beverages are not present between thermoplastic material layers over the longitudinal direction of the sealed zone. The apparatus transversely heat-seals a tubular packing material made of a laminate including a synthetic resin layer and a conductive material layer in the presence of a fluid. A ridge shaped to contain an arcuate partial curve in its transverse contour is formed on the action face of a high-frequency coil flush with the flat action face of one of the pressing members for pressing the central portion of a sealed zone having two rounded and narrowed right and left sides. A flash portion for a molten thermoplastic resin is formed adjacent to the outer side of the high-frequency on the cutting side of the coil.
Abstract:
A package container forming flap apparatus capable of forming a tubular packaging material in a rectangular shape in cross section with reliability and accuracy. The package container forming flap apparatus lateral seal bars for laterally sealing a tubular packaging material, a pair of opposing fixed plates which are disposed respectively over each lateral seal bar in parallel with a seal surface thereof, forming arms for turning about axes which are parallel to a longitudinal direction of the tubular packaging material, and movable plates which are secured to the forming arms and together with the fixed plates to shape the tubular packaging material in a rectangular shape in cross section.
Abstract:
A magnetic disk unit has a magnetic head-disk stickiness eliminating mechanism suitable for a small-sized, low power consumption type magnetic disk unit of a high recording density. The magnetic disk unit has a housing in which is enclosed a magnetic disk medium made of glass, a spindle and a spindle motor for driving the magnetic medium in rotation, a slider for supporting a magnetic head and an actuator for positioning the magnetic head. An impact force applying mechanism mounted adjacent the housing applies an impact force to the housing for manually imposing a predetermined certain impact force on the housing. By applying an impact force manually to the housing before use of the magnetic disk unit or when the disk unit becomes inoperative due to sticking, it is possible to easily eliminate the sticking phenomenon between the magnetic head and the magnetic disk medium, thus permitting operation of the magnetic disk unit.
Abstract:
A process for producing bean curd comprising the steps of cooling soybean milk and bittern individually to below the coagulating temperature of the milk, mixing the cooled milk and bittern together and filling the mixture into buckets, coagulating the mixture in the buckets by heating, and withdrawing the coagulated milk from the buckets and detwatering the coagulated milk to obtain formed bean curd. An apparatus for practicing the process comprises a mold box and a pressing closure each having in a required portion a multiplicity of holes not passing the coagulated milk therethrough but permitting the water contained in the coagulated milk to pass therethrough.
