摘要: In a method for attenuating pressure surges of liquids (24), e.g. of a biologically vulnerable liquid, flowing inside a liquid conduit (3) and for cleaning, in particular sterilizing, the liquid conduit (3), the liquid is permitted to swerve, in the event that pressure surges occur, into a gas-filled space communicating with the liquid conduit (3). In order to enable a simple and little time-consuming cleaning of the liquid conduit (3) in addition to an excellent attenuation of pressure surges, the gas-filled space is formed by a bypass conduit (7) leading to the liquid conduit (3) and a) a gas cushion is maintained in order to attenuate pressure surges inside the bypass conduit (7) and liquid is prevented from flowing through the bypass conduit (7), b) in order to clean the liquid conduit (7), a cleaning medium is routed both through the liquid conduit (3) as well as through the bypass conduit (7), and c) after the liquid conduit (3) has been cleaned, the cleaning medium is removed from the bypass conduit (7), preferably by means of a gas, is forced out and a gas cushion is maintained once again inside the bypass conduit (7) (FIG. 2).

摘要: A method and a device (1) for carrying out the method of optimizing dampening agent utilization in offset printing with a container (2) for dampening agent (3), a supply line (4) to at least one dampening mechanism, a recirculation line (5) for the unused dampening agent and a detector for measuring the fill level (10), which is functionally linked to the shutoff (7) for the supply (6). Servicing is reduced to a minimum, the cleaning intervals are lengthened, the utilization of dampening agent is improved, and the amount to be disposed of is reduced in that the detector for measuring the fill level (10) is set so that, after closing the shutoff (7), it reopens the supply (6) only when the fill level (11, 18) has been reduced so that after refilling the container (2) the contamination level is not increased compared to the instant prior to the interruption.

摘要: The process of synchronizing matching circuits of a communication system having modules connected with each other by serial data lines includes providing a transmitter and a receiver in each module as an interface between the serial data lines and a matching circuit; synchronizing at least one other matching circuit with a synchronizing matching circuit and transmitting the required synchronizing signals over the serial data lines; supplying parallel signals from the synchronizing matching circuit to the transmitter connected thereto and converting those parallel signals into serial signals in that transmitter; feeding the serial signals over the serial data lines to the receivers connected with the at least one other matching circuit, converting the serial signals into other parallel signals in those receivers and supplying the other parallel signals to the at least one other matching circuit connected with the receivers; generating an error signal in each receiver on detection of a transmission error; and resetting the at least one other matching circuit connected to each receiver producing the error signal when at least two error signals are generated within a predetermined time interval.

摘要: A piston rod has a hollow section with an open end, a housing, and a fastening connection for a piston. The housing includes a cap welded to the open end, a tubular intermediate piece welded to the cap, and a bottom part attached to the fastening connection. The cap has a shoulder received in the intermediate piece to form an annular space which functions as a labyrinth seal to receive any weld spatters formed during the friction welding process. The outside surface of the piston rod is machined to final dimensions and surface coated following welding.
