    摘要: A fuel injection apparatus for internal combustion engines in which beyond a predetermined remaining stroke during the supply stroke of the pump piston, a relief conduit is opened via a control edge. The same control edge closes the relief conduit once again during the intake stroke. During the subsequent effective intake stroke, the quantity of fuel to be injected upon the following compression stroke is metered by means of the electrically actuatable valve. The magnetic valve here is already opened before the closure of the relief conduit by the control edge, so that in the opening phase of the relief conduit, the pump work chamber of the fuel injection apparatus is flushed. In this manner, precise metering of the quantity of fuel to be injected is attained.

    摘要: A fuel quantity measuring apparatus, preferably for a Diesel engine, is proposed in which the course of the fuel pressure is evaluated. A specialized pressure gradient of a first polarity marks the onset of supply or injection, and the maximum of the pressure gradient of the other polarity represents the end of injection or supply. The question of which designation prevails, whether injection onset and end or supply onset and end, is determined by the measurement location, that is, whether it is in the direction of the injection valve or in the direction of the supply element of the fuel supply pump. The injection quantity, for example, may be determined via the integral of the pressure during the metering period. It is recommended, when a piezoelectric pressure receptor is used, that a resistor-capacitor element be switched parallel thereto.

    摘要: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines, in which beyond a predetermined remnant stroke during the supply stroke of the pump piston a relief conduit is opened via a first control edge and the remaining fuel pumped by the pump piston is pumped into a reservoir connected there. During the subsequent intake stroke, the diverted fuel is pumped back into the pump work chamber of the pump piston, until the first control edge again closes the relief conduit. During the subsequent intake stroke of the pump piston, in particular at the bottom dead center position of the pump piston, the relief conduit to the reservoir is once again opened by a second control edge, and then a complete relief of the reservoir is attained. It is during this phase that the metering of the fuel to be injected during the next supply stroke of the pump piston also takes place, via a magnetic valve. With an apparatus of this kind, it is advantageous that the fuel quantity per supply stroke of the pump piston that is actually to be injected can be metered exactly by means of a magnetic valve under pressure conditions that remain constant despite variable opening times.

This control is accomplished with the aid of at least one electrically controlled valve which is controlled by a control device in accordance with operating parameters. In this cost-efficient manner, the correct adjustment of the instant of injection can be established very precisely over the entire operating range of the engine, including the warm-up phase, at varying operating conditions.

    摘要: A fuel injection pump for internal combustion engines is described, which for controlling fuel quantity is provided with control unit that controls an electric final control element, which in turn actuates the regulating member that determines the fuel injection quantity per pump piston supply stroke. The supply of fuel to the pump work chamber is effected from a fuel supply chamber, which is kept at a controlled pressure by a fuel feed pump. To limit the maximum speed of the engine supplied by the fuel injection pump in the event of failure of the control unit, a valve is provided in the intake line of the fuel feed pump. Using this valve, the flow cross section of the intake line can be varied or closed. By means of the modification of the fuel pressure in the fuel supply chamber effected thereby, a control of the fuel injection quantity that is not dependent on the position of the quantity-determining member is attained.

    摘要: The injection pump includes a pump cylinder, a pump piston moving into it and a hydraulic device for adjusting the instant of injection. The adjusting device has an adjusting cylinder, which is directed parallel to the pump cylinder and is accommodated in the housing of the injection pump, and adjusting piston and a restoring spring and adjusts a control sleeve, which opens the pump piston provided with at least one control recess in the longitudinal direction of the pump piston. This orientation and disposition of the adjusting cylinder effects a space-saving and inexpensive design of the injection pump and improves the precision of adjustment. The adjusting piston and the control sleeve may be directed coaxially and embodied as a single component, as a result of which a further space saving and increase in adjustment precision are attained.

This makes possible a deflection motion of the piston relative to the second piston and a reduction in the pump piston stroke speed.
