    摘要: A test stand for testing a fluid injection pump and/or a fluid injector has a device for conditioning a test fluid used for the testing. The device has a tank to accommodate and store the test fluid, a first fluid removal line to withdraw test fluid from the tank and to convey it to the fluid injection pump, and a cooling circuit for cooling the test fluid stored inside the tank. The cooling circuit has a second fluid removal line and a return line. The fluid removal line is to withdraw test fluid from the tank and is connected to a heat exchanger, which cools the test fluid withdrawn from the tank. The return line is connected to the heat exchanger and returns the test fluid from the heat exchanger back into the tank.

    摘要: A fuel accumulator block is provided for testing high-pressure components of fuel injection devices. The fuel accumulator block includes an accumulator body and at least one pressure control valve, which is accommodated in a receptacle in the accumulator body. The accumulator body is connected to a test line for a test medium and to a cooling line for a cooling medium. Within the accumulator body a test line run is developed for the test medium and a cooling line run is developed for the cooling medium. The cooling line run has at least one section which runs in the vicinity of the receptacle for the pressure control valve.

When the injection pump element 2 is in a non-injection state, the plunger 26 is rotated circumferentially to such a rotational position that a purge groove 265 formed in an outer peripheral surface of the plunger 26 and a purge port 253 formed in an inner peripheral surface of the plunger barrel 25 are communicated to each other. The purge groove 265 is communicated to a fuel gallery 11 via a hole 263 and a notch 262. When the injection pump element 2 is in the non-injection state, the injection pipe 3 is communicated to the fuel gallery 11 even if the delivery valve 23 is closed.

The draining circuit comprises a device for cooling the flow of non-injected fuel, and is used for the selective return of the flow toward the storage tank. The selective heating device comprises a recycle line and a direction setting element which can be used selectively to recycle the flow of non-injected fuel upstream of the pump.

    摘要: A device for pre-conditioning fuel before it enters either an internal combustion chamber or a furnace employs appropriate arrangements of magnets and a heat exchanger. The in-line fuel conditioning apparatus comprises a cylindrical fuel impervious container and a temperature control flow line that passes through the cylinder. While passing through the container the fuel contacts a magnetic field generated by a series of magnets (preferably and even number of pairs) arranged so that pole pieces having the same polarity (i.e. N or S) face each other, while adjacent pole pieces have opposite polarities. A gap separates the poles pieces of each pair and the fuel flows through this gap. Alternative embodiments are concerned with different configurations for bringing together the fuel, the magnets and the coolant during the transport of the fuel to the combustion region. For the pre-treatment of fuel for an internal combustion engine a source of coolant is used to lower the temperature of the fuel contacting the magnetic field generated by the magnets. For the pre-treatment of heating oil being delivered to a furnace a greater efficiency of burning occurs when a temperature control flow line, such as a copper hot water tube wrapped around the container, is used to raise, rather than lower the temperature of the fuel.

    摘要: A low pressure side fuel path extending from a fuel inflow port to a feed pump, and a chamber, which can communicate with an inflow/outflow port, are formed by partitioning inside a housing. A cam ring, shoes and rollers are provided in the low pressure side fuel path to induce low pressure, low temperature fuel into the area surrounding the rollers. A space that communicates with the low pressure side fuel path without constriction is formed on the upstream side on the back surfaces of the shoes. A phase of the cam ring and the control sleeve is fixed with the adapter provided on the boundary of the low pressure side fuel path and the chamber. An intake passage communicating with the intake port may be formed in the adapter to shorten the intake path. The area around the rollers, which tends to become heated in an inner-cam type fuel injection pump, is cooled efficiently, cam jump is reduced, control of advance angle is performed separately and independently of the fuel injection quantity control, and the efficiency of fuel intake is improved.
