    摘要: The present invention relates to a process for the production of N-substituted .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid amides, which proceeds from the .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid amide that is unsubstituted at the amido nitrogen, which forms the Michael adduct initially by conversion with a polyvalent alcohol having a boiling point of >/=150.degree. C., converts this with a primary or secondary amine with elimination of ammonia to form N-substituted carboxylic acid amide with a protected double bond, the polyvalent alcohol being subsequently eliminated from this product at high temperatures, with formation of the N-substituted .alpha.,.beta.-unsaturated carboxylic acid amide.

    摘要: Polymers consisting of (a) 1-50% weight of N-allyliminodiacetic acid and its salts; (b) 50-99% weight of one or several unsaturated, polymerisable carboxylic acids having the formula (I), in which R.sup.1 stands for hydrogen, C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl or COOM, R.sup.2 stands for hydrogen or C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl, R.sup.3 stands for hydrogen, C.sub.1-C.sub.4 alkyl or CH.sub.2 COOM and M stands for hydrogen, ammonium, an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal; and (c) 0-40% by weight water soluble monomers copolymerisable with (a) and (b). These polymers preferably contain acrylic acid, methacrylic acid and maleic acid as unsaturated polymerisable carboxylic acids. Also disclosed are the use of these polymers as complexing agents, as peroxide stabilizers and builders in washing products, as dispersing agents and hardness stabilizers.

    摘要: The invention relates to a cross-linked, water-absorbent polymer obtainable by the polymerization of a mixture consisting of a) 60-99%-wt. unsaturated, polymerizable monomers with acid groups which are neutralized to the extent of at least 30 mol-%, b) 0-37%-wt. monomers copolymerizable with a), c) 0.1-3.0%-wt. of a cross-linking agent and d) 0-10%-wt. of a water-soluble polymer, in which polymerization is conducted with a redox catalyst system containing formamidine sulfinic acid as reducing agent. The polymer is distinguished by a retention of greater than or equal to 28 g 0.9% aqueous NaCl-solution per 1 g of polymer, an absorption of greater than or equal to 26 g 0.9% aqueous NaCl-solution per 1 g of polymer at a load of 20 g/cm.sup.2 and a residual monomer content of less than 700 ppm, and preferably less than 500 ppm. The invention also relates to the use of this polymer in the production of hygiene articles.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a powdery absorbing material for aqueous liquids based on a water-swellable powdery polymer having at least 0.2 equivalents carboxyl groups per 100 parts by weight which are neutralized by 50 to 99, advantageously by at least 80 mole %. The powdery absorbing material is obtained by treating the water-swellable carboxyl-groups-containing polymer with a solution of an N-(hydroxyalkyl).beta.-(meth)-alanine ester or with the polycondensation products thereof. As a solvent for the powdery absorbing material, water is used which either contains water-miscible organic diluents which evaporate on heating, or non-evaporative water-miscible organic diluents, i.e., diluents remaining in the polymer.
