摘要: The present invention provides a method for preparing a vinyl chloride-based polymer and a vinyl chloride-based polymer prepared thereby, the method comprising a step for performing suspension polymerization of a monomer for preparing a vinyl chloride-based polymer in the presence of a polymerization initiator, a dispersant, and water soluble cellulose ether, wherein the dispersant includes a mixture of two or more kinds of polyvinyl alcohol having different degrees of saponification, and the mole average degree of saponification of the polyvinyl mixture is from 76 mol % to 80 mol %, and the water soluble cellulose ether has a gel point of 60° C. to 90° C. and is added before the initiation of polymerization or at a time in which the polymerization conversion rate is 70% or less.

摘要: The present disclosure provides a method for preparing a vinyl chloride-based polymer, the method including a step of injecting an ionizable normal salt and polymerizing a vinyl chloride monomer in the presence of one or more emulsifiers and a polymerization initiator, wherein the ionizable normal salt includes a carbonate metal salt or a sulfite metal salt, and the ionizable normal salt is continuously injected in an amount of 70 to 1200 ppm based on the total weight of the vinyl chloride monomer when a polymerization conversion rate is in a range of 0% to 20%. The method capable of preparing a vinyl chloride-based polymer suitable as an eco-friendly material, while not affecting the rate of polymerization reaction and decreasing the generation amount of total volatile organic compounds by controlling the injection time, injection amount and kind of the ionizable normal salt, is provided.

According to the present invention, a bulk PVC composition that may effectively prevent generation of fine particles and scale (adhering to a reactor wall) during bulk polymerization and may be prepared without a post-treatment process of an antistatic agent added to easily isolate fine particles after bulk PVC polymerization, and a method and apparatus for polymerizing the same may be provided.
