Abstract: A phosphor module for a laser light source includes a heat dissipation body, and a reflective layer disposed on the heat dissipation body including metal or an alloy. The phosphor module also includes a phosphor layer disposed on the reflective layer. The phosphor layer includes a glass frit and a phosphor and is configured to: absorb a first light emitted from the laser light source and incident on a first surface of the phosphor layer facing away from the reflective layer; and emit, from a second surface of the phosphor layer opposite the first surface and facing towards the reflective layer, a second light having a second wavelength different from a first wavelength of the first light. The phosphor module also includes a light-transmissive transparent heat dissipation layer disposed on the first surface of the phosphor layer that dissipates heat from the phosphor layer.

Abstract: A phosphor module for a laser light source includes a heat radiator, a phosphor layer disposed at the heat radiator and configured to absorb and emit light, where a wavelength of the emitted light is different from a wavelength of the absorbed light, a reflective layer that covers a side surface of the phosphor layer and is configured to reflect light, and an adhesive layer disposed between the phosphor layer and the heat radiator and between the reflective layer and the heat radiator, the adhesive layer being configured to couple each of the phosphor layer and the reflective layer to the heat radiator. A thermal conductivity of the adhesive layer is greater than a thermal conductivity of each of the phosphor layer and the reflective layer.

Abstract: An optical device and an image projection apparatus including the same are disclosed. The optical device includes a laser diode for outputting a laser light having a predetermined wavelength, a polarization separator for transmitting a first polarized light of the laser light and reflecting a second polarized light of the laser light, a wheel including a wavelength conversion unit for converting a wavelength of the second polarized light of the laser light reflected by the polarization separator such that the second polarized light of the laser light corresponds to one selected from among a blue light, a green light, and a red light and a transmission unit for transmitting the other lights, a polarization converter for converting the light transmitted through the wheel into the first polarized light and outputting the converted first polarized light to the wheel, and an optical output unit for outputting the first polarized light from the polarization converter and the light converted in wavelength and reflected by the wheel. Consequently, it is possible to provide a compact optical device that is capable of achieving highly efficient light output.

The light-emitting module further includes a microelectromechanical system (MEMS) scanner that is located in front of the condenser lens, that is configured to reflect, toward the condenser lens, light generated by the laser light source, and that is configured to scan light generated by the laser light source by moving horizontally and vertically. The light-emitting module further includes a reflection unit that is located behind the condenser lens and that is configured to reflect light reflected by the MEMS scanner.
