    Abstract: A motor according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a rotary shaft; a rotor mounted on the rotary shaft; a stator surrounding an outer periphery of the rotor; an impeller mounted on the rotary shaft to be spaced apart from the rotor; a bearing housing positioned between the impeller and the rotor and formed with a through-hole through which the rotary shaft passes; and a gas bearing disposed in the bearing housing, wherein a thickness of the gas bearing is equal to or greater than 50% of a gap between an inner surface of the bearing housing and an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft and is equal to or less than 0.3 mm.

    Abstract: A fan motor includes a heat dissipation fin. The heat dissipation fin includes an outer ring part, an inner ring part disposed inside the outer ring part, and a connection part connecting the outer ring part and the inner ring part. The inner ring part is elastically deformed to be inclined in parallel to a rotational shaft which is inclined when axial alignment between bearings is not made. Accordingly, the heat dissipation fin can reduce a temperature of the bearing while enclosing the bearing, and improve concentricity (axial alignment) of the bearing.

    Abstract: A fan motor includes a housing, a rotating shaft that is rotatably disposed in the housing and extends through the housing, an impeller rotatably disposed at the rotating shaft, a first vane disposed adjacent to the impeller and configured to guide a flow of air generated by the impeller, a rotor disposed at the rotating shaft and spaced apart from the impeller in an axial direction of the rotating shaft, a stator that is disposed in the housing and surrounds the rotor, the stator and the rotor defining an air gap therebetween, and a second vane coupled to the stator and disposed downstream relative to the first vane in a flow direction of the flow of air. The second vane is in contact with at least a part of an inner surface of the housing.

    Abstract: A motor assembly includes a first bearing installed on a rotating shaft adjacent to an impeller to support a first support part of the rotating shaft, a second bearing installed on the rotating shaft adjacent to the rotor to support a second support part of the rotating shaft, a bearing bracket receiving the first and second bearings therein, an elastic member inserted between the first bearing and the bearing bracket or between the second bearing and the bearing bracket to press either the first bearing or the second bearing to get closer to each other, and a separation preventing member installed on the bearing bracket to fix the first bearing, the second bearing and the elastic member to an inner space of the bearing bracket such that at least one portion of the separation preventing member overlaps with one of the first bearing, the second bearing and the elastic member.
