    摘要: When a large load is exerted during restraint control of an engine of a jet propulsion boat, the drop of the engine revolution frequency causes a feeling of harsh braking. An engine revolution frequency control apparatus provided to prevent this problem includes a engine revolution frequency detector for detecting an engine revolution frequency, and threshold value setting units for setting first and second engine revolution frequency threshold values. The second threshold value is set to be higher than the first threshold value. An engine control unit includes an overspeed governing capability that starts restraint control for restraining rotation when the engine revolution frequency detected by the engine revolution frequency detector is more than said first threshold value when the engine is accelerating, and terminates restraint control when the engine revolution frequency is less than a second thresholds value during deceleration.

In addition, since the control unit for increasing the number of engine revolutions per minute to a predetermined number of revolutions per minute irrespective of the throttle and maintaining the same for a predetermined retention time is provided, the quantity of jet water stream is secured. As a result, the steering of the jet propulsion boat is improved.

    摘要: A mounting structure is provided for an air-fuel ratio sensor on an exhaust pipe in a motorcycle in which a concentration of oxygen in an exhaust gas can be detected efficiently and accurately by the air-fuel ratio sensor. The air-fuel ratio sensor is mounted on a convergent connector of exhaust pipes, which, in turn, are operatively connected to the cylinders of a multi-cylinder engine. The air-fuel ratio sensor is located upstream of catalytic converters provided in the exhaust pipes, and may be mounted so as to be oriented substantially vertically when the motorcycle is in an upright configuration, or alternatively, may be inclined toward the rear of the motorcycle.

    摘要: A mounting structure for an air-fuel ratio sensor in a motorcycle is provided which eliminates the influence of water gathered in an exhaust pipe upon the air-fuel ratio sensor and improves the mountability of the air-fuel ratio sensor to the exhaust pipe. The air-fuel ratio sensor is mounted on an exhaust pipe connected to an engine in a motorcycle so that the air-fuel ratio sensor extends radially with respect to a longitudinal axis of the exhaust pipe, and is inclined upward by an angle of 10° or more with respect to a horizontal line H passing through the center of the exhaust pipe 32 in its cross section. The air-fuel ratio sensor is pointed toward the central lateral plane of the motorcycle as viewed in front elevation of the motorcycle.

    摘要: The burning of unburned fuel in an exhaust pipe is a technique for preventing a turbo lag. However, since the technique requires combustion in the exhaust pipe, the temperature in the exhaust pipe becomes high, which is likely to damage the exhaust pipe, cause the exhaust emissions to deteriorate. The present invention addresses this problem by providing an ignition control apparatus for an engine with a turbocharger, capable of adjusting an ignition timing and a turbocharger. When a throttle valve is opened rapidly, the ignition control apparatus causes the ignition timing to advance with respect to the ordinary ignition timing. Consequently, the start of combustion is advanced, and the speed of rotation of the engine is raised, thereby increasing the speed of an exhaust turbine to achieve the desired increase in engine performance, without the problems of conventional ignition control systems.

    摘要: A jet-propelled watercraft capable of maintaining a propulsion force required for a turn made at the same time as closing of a throttle valve. The jet-propelled watercraft has an auxiliary intake valve and an ECU. The auxiliary intake valve in an intake pipe opens/closes an auxiliary intake passage to bypass a throttle valve. The ECU performs control such that an opening of the auxiliary intake valve in a state where the rotation speed of the engine is not lower than a threshold value is larger than the opening of the auxiliary intake valve in a state where the engine is idling. When in a state where the rotation speed is not lower than the threshold value, it is detected that the throttle valve is completely closed and that a steering mechanism has been turned by a prescribed angle or more, a current opening of the auxiliary intake valve is maintained.
