    摘要: A process is provided for determining the distance between two devices by sending ranging packets between them. The local device sends a first ranging packet, which the remote device sends holds for a first hold time before sending a second ranging packet in return. The local device also sends a third ranging packet, which the remote device sends holds for a second hold time before sending a fourth ranging packet in return. If the second hold time is twice the first hold time, then the propagation time for signals between the two devices can be determined solely by time measurements made by the local device. For received signals, these time measurements can be adjusted to provide accurate time estimates for a direct line of sight signal, which corresponds to a shortest transmission distance between the two devices. The propagation time can then be used to determine distance between the devices.

    摘要: A separator for separating liquids in a fluid stream generated by blow-by gases produced in a crankcase of an internal combustion engine wherein the fluid stream includes both gasses and liquids. The separator including an inlet in fluid connection with the engine for receiving the fluid stream and an outlet in fluid connection with the engine to return a gas stream to the engine. The separator further including a fluid path fluidly connecting the inlet to the outlet and a containment vessel in fluid connection with the fluid path. The separator having a fluid stream accelerator in the fluid path and the accelerator accelerating the fluid stream to at least partially separate the gasses from the liquids in the fluid stream. A deflector, which is also in the fluid path between the accelerator and the outlet, changes the direction of the liquid to direct at least part of the liquids in the fluid stream into a containment portion of the vessel and directs the gas stream to the outlet.

    摘要: An automated machine for transferring solution from a source microwell plate to a destination microwell plate. A plurality of pins is used for transferring the solution. The pins are attached to pin assemblies. The pin assemblies are attached to the circumference of a circular dial that is rotatably connected to the automated machine. The circular dial rotates the pins form a solution removal position to a solution transfer position and then to a pin cleaning position. Solution is removed from individual wells at the solution removal position and the solution is transferred to individual wells at the solution transfer position. The pins are cleaned at the pin cleaning position. A computer is programmed to control the automated machine and the transfer of solution. In a preferred embodiment, the computer is programmed to: 1) execute a saved transfer list, 2) accept a customized input list from an operator, 3) execute the customized input list, and 4) save the customized input list for later execution. In a preferred embodiment, the automated machine is utilized for transferring variable volumes of solution from the source microwell plate to the destination microwell plate.
