    摘要: An improved battery-powered credential reader, which may be used in security and other applications, includes include a micro-power proximity detector. The micro-power proximity detector is configured to lengthen battery life by reducing power consumption requirements of the credential reader during periods when no credential is present. An antenna formed about a perimeter of a printed circuit board is configured to propagate an electrostatic sense field adjacent to and through the credential reader using only microamps of electrical current. A control circuit of the micro-power proximity detector is configured to activate the credential reader from a “sleep” state when a disturbance in the electrostatic sense field caused by a credential is detected and/or registered.

    摘要: A homogenous charge compression ignition barrel engine includes an engine housing, a power shaft and a plurality of cylinders surrounding the shaft. Each cylinder has a closed end and an open end. An intake system introduces a combustible mixture into the cylinders. A track is disposed between a first end of the housing and the open ends of the cylinders. The track has a cam surface that longitudinally undulates with respect to the open ends of the cylinders. A piston is moveably disposed in each of the cylinders and is in mechanical communication with the cam surface of the track such that as the cylinders and the track move with respect to each other, the pistons reciprocate within the cylinders. Each cylinder is operable to compress a combustible mixture until the mixture auto ignites, without the introduction of a spark.

    摘要: A homogenous charge compression ignition barrel engine includes an engine housing with a first and second end. An elongated power shaft is longitudinally disposed in the engine housing and defines a longitudinal axis of the engine. A plurality of cylinders surround the longitudinal axis with each cylinder having a closed end and an open end. Each cylinder has a central axis. The open ends of the cylinders are each generally directed toward the first end of the housing. An intake system is operable to introduce a combustible mixture of air and fuel into each of the cylinders. A track is disposed between the first end of the housing and the open ends of the cylinders such that a portion of the track is disposed generally in alignment with the central axis of each of the cylinders. The track has a cam surface that longitudinally undulates with respect to the open ends of the cylinders. A portion of the cam surface is disposed generally in alignment with the central axis of each of the cylinders. The track and the cylinders are rotatable with respect to each other such that the undulating cam surface moves with respect to the open ends of the cylinders. A piston is moveably disposed in each of the cylinders such that a combustion chamber is defined between the piston and the closed end of the cylinder. Each piston is in mechanical communication with the cam surface of the track such that as the cylinders and the track move with respect to each other, the pistons reciprocate within the cylinders. Each cylinder is operable to compress a combustible mixture until the mixture auto ignites, without the introduction of a spark.

The column element wells of all of the first plurality of column registers constitute a plurality of well rows where each of the plurality of well rows is splayed with respect to a row direction line.

    摘要: A fast frame interline transfer charge coupled device imaging sensor includes an imaging section and an storage section. The imaging section includes a plurality of interline transfer registers, each interline transfer register containing a plurality of interline register elements. The imaging section further includes an interline clocking structure, the interline clocking structure including polycrystalline silicon buss lines used as gate electrodes, the polycrystalline silicon buss lines being connected to a metal strapping network, the interline clocking structure causing charge to be transferred between interline register elements of each interline transfer register based on interline clocking signals. The storage section is coupled to the imaging section. The storage section includes a plurality of storage registers, each storage register containing a plurality of storage register elements. The storage section further includes a storage discharge structure and a storage clocking structure. Each storage register element of the storage registers is selectively coupleable through the storage discharge structure to a storage drain. The storage clocking structure has first and second clocking structure parts, the first clocking structure part corresponding to first storage register elements coupled to respective interline registers. The first clocking structure part is coupled to the interline clocking structure so as to cause charge to be transferred from the respective interline registers to the first storage register elements based on the interline clocking signals. The second clocking structure part causes charge to be transferred between storage register elements of each storage register based on frame clocking signals.
