A battery voltage Ef of a fuel cell 1 is detected, and a current instruction value which transformed an electric power instruction value Pfc of the fuel cell is reduced at falling-down of the voltage Ef. A current limiter 8 makes the current instruction value a limit value at the time of the falling-down of Ef, and reduces the limit value according to the fall of Ef. For example, current instruction value is restricted so as to begin to reduce battery current IFC at voltage drop alarm level (first threshold value), and become zero at voltage drop protection level (second threshold value).

A sensor device has a sensing layer and an auxiliary layer for supporting the sensing layer, the two layers being superposed on each other in a laminar form. The sensing layer has a vibratory body displaceable in a direction parallel to a junction surface between the two layers. The auxiliary layer is affixed to the sensing layer and a recess or through-hole of a larger area than that of the vibratory body is formed in the auxiliary layer at a part thereof confronting the vibratory body.

The distance to a target object is measured by capturing the image in front of the driving vehicle using an image sensor, identifying a target object such as a vehicle ahead to which the distance is to be measured, and projecting a laser beam onto the target object. The distance to the target object is measured by angular surveying, using an image sensor for capturing an image as a laser light detection unit.

The fuel cell assembly disclosed includes at least one unit fuel cell comprising a separator having flow channels for oxidizing gas, a cathode to which the oxidizing gas is fed, a membrane electrolyte of proton conductivity, an anode to which fuel gas is fed, and a separator having flow channels for the fuel gas, the above members being arranged in order. The fuel cell assembly further comprises a humidifier having a porous member to humidify at least the fuel gas to be fed to the anode. The porous member of the humidifier is so disposed as to face at least the flow channels for the oxidizing gas so that water is supplied to the flow channels from part of the surface of the porous member opposite to the water supplying face and/or from the outer periphery of the porous member.
