摘要: Smear preparing apparatuses for preparing a smear of a specimen on a glass slide are described that include a memory for storing smearing conditions in connection with pertinent information required for establishing the smearing condition; and a controller for retrieving one of the stored smearing conditions corresponding to the pertinent information of the specimen from the memory and for determining it as the smearing condition of the specimen. Methods of preparing sample smears on a glass slide are also described that include receiving condition identification data; storing smear preparing conditions correlated with the condition identification data; retrieving the smear preparing conditions correlated with the condition identification data; and applying the sample smear to the glass slide based on the smear preparing conditions.

摘要: A smear preparing apparatus for preparing a smear of a sample on a slide grass are described, a representative one of which includes: (a) a smear preparing device for preparing the smear on the slide glass based on a smear preparing condition; (b) an input unit for inputting a smear preparing condition; (c) a memory for storing the smear preparing conditions input by the input unit, each of the smear preparing conditions being in connection with a condition identification data; (d) an information acceptor for accepting a condition identification data; and (e) a controller for retrieving the smear preparing condition corresponding to the condition identification data accepted by the information acceptor from the memory and controlling the smear preparing device so as to preparing a smear based on the retrieved smear preparing condition.

摘要: An apparatus wherein assayed specimens can be transferred in any order to a specimen-container housing rack automatically and very efficiently, without any restrictions whatsoever on the order in which the specimen containers are placed in the specimen-container racks and assayed, even if different types of specimen vessel are present. This is accomplished in a specimen-container transfer apparatus having: a conveyor unit for transporting specimen-container racks; a specimen-container ID reader for reading the specimen-container identification numbers of the specimen-container racks transported by the conveyor unit; a specimen-container housing-rack table for setting up specimen-container housing racks for housing specimen containers; a specimen-container transfer mechanism for taking specimen containers out of a specimen-container rack and putting them in a specimen-container housing rack; and a control unit for controlling the order in which the specimen containers are put into the specimen-container housing rack.

摘要: A waveguide type optical switch that can reduce the number of intersections in a matrix optical switch having the configuration of connecting unit optical switches and optical combining devices or optical branching devices to have a connecting function from “multiple inputs to one output” to “one input to multiple outputs”. To reduce the number of intersections in an entire matrix optical switch, an optical combining device of M inputs and one output is divided into (M−1) pieces of unit optical combining elements each having two inputs and one output, which are arranged immediately after (N−1) pieces of respective output ports excluding one piece of the output port closer to the input in the matrix optical switch out of N pieces of the output ports in the optical switch of one input and N outputs.
