    摘要: A transparent coated resin composite comprising: (a) a resin substrate mainly comprising polymethyl methacrylate, (b) a precoating which is formed of a silicon compound selected from the group consisting of methacryloxyalkyltrialkoxysilanes, aminoalkyl-trialkoxysilanes, vinyltris(alkoxyalkoxy)silanes, vinyltrialkoxysilanes and hydrolysates thereof on said substrate, and (c) an over-coating which is formed of a silicon compound selected from the group consisting of glycidoxyalkyltrialkoxysilanes, N-aminoalkylaminoalkyl-trialkoxysilanes, (3,4-epoxycyclohexyl)alkyltrialkoxysilanes and hydrolysates thereof on said precoating is provided. The over-coating may contain other polymerizable monomers. The over-coating which provides the substrate with the good abrasion resistance and anti-fogging property is firmly bonded to the substrate by virtue of the precoating and exhibits excellent abrasion resistance as well as anti-fogging property without impairing the optical characteristics of methyl methacrylate resins.

    摘要: A novel thermosetting resin composition comprising at least one [(2,3-epoxypropoxy)alkyl]trialkoxysilane and at least one selected from polymers, prepolymers, copolymers and coprepolymers of epoxy-group-containing vinyl monomers, which may further contain at least one selected from polymers, prepolymers, copolymers and coprepolymers of vinyl monomers containing no epoxy group, is disclosed. This composition is cured by heating with addition of a ring-opening polymerization catalyst and remarkably improves surface hardness, abrasion resistance, weathering resistance, chemical resistances, heat resistances, etc. of acrylic resins and many other plastic materials without imparing the inherent transparency and other optical properties of these materials when it is applied on the surface of them and cured.

    摘要: Transparent resin composites comprising a substrate of a transparent plastic material coated with a cured film of at least one [(2,3-epoxypropoxy)alkyl]trialkoxysilane or of at least one [(2,3-epoxypropoxy)alkyl]trialkoxysilane and at least one transparent polymer compatible with said silane are provided. The resin composites have excellent abrasion resistance, surface hardness, heat resistance, chemical resistance, weathering resistance, etc. well retaining the transparency and other optical characteristics of the substrate resin. These resin composites can be used as transparent plastic panels, lenses, etc.

    摘要: A process is, herein disclosed, for producing a slow release composite having a physiologically active substance encapsulated therein, which comprises preparing a system wherein one or more physiologically active substances are in contact with protein from one or more protein sources, and bringing said system into direct contact with steam at temperatures between 50.degree. C. and 100.degree. C. to denature the protein and make the same hydrophobic, to thereby make a slow release composite having the physiologically active substance dispersed, fixed and encapsulated therein. And a process is also disclosed for producing a slow release composite which comprises preparing a mixture of one or more hydrophilic polymerizable monomers containing the body fluid and/or isotonic solution, protein from one or more protein sources, and one or more physiologically active substances, subjecting the mixture to direct contact with steam and irradiation with light or ionizing radiation, said treatment with steam being performed either before or simultaneously with irradiation with light or ionizing radiation.

    摘要: A process is herein disclosed for producing a multi-layered slow release composite comprising: a first step wherein one or more physiologically active substances is mixed with one member selected from the group consisting of one or more supercooling polymerizable vinyl monomers, one or more natural or synthetic polymeric substances and a mixture thereof, and the mixture is given a predetermined shape and subjected to a physical treatment to form a slow release composite; a second step wherein a predetermined thickness of coating of one member selected from the group consisting of one or more supercooling polymerizable vinyl monomers, one or more natural or synthetic polymeric substances and a mixture thereof is formed on the surface of said slow release composite, which then is subjected to a physical treatment so that a layer wherein no physiologically active substance is encapsulated is formed on the surface of said slow release composite; a third step wherein a predetermined thickness of coating of a mixture of one or more physiologically active substances with one member selected from the group consisting of one or more supercooling polymerizable vinyl monomers, one or more natural or synthetic polymeric substances and a mixture thereof is formed on the surface of the slow release composite having the layer provided in the second step wherein no physiologically active substance is encapsulated, said composite then is subjected to a physical treatment to form a layer wherein the physiologically active substance is encapsulated.
