摘要: The present invention relates to a method of producing an aromatic carbonate by reacting an aromatic hydroxy compound, carbon monoxide, and oxygen, wherein the reaction is carried out in the presence of a catalyst comprising: (A) at least one selected from palladium and palladium compounds; (B) at least one lead compound; (C) at least one cobalt compound; and, (D) at least one halide. According to this method an aromatic carbonate which produces only a small amount of impurities and has excellent selectivity can be produced.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of producing an aromatic carbonate by reacting an aromatic hydroxy compound, carbon monoxide and oxygen using a catalyst system for suppressing the production of aryl aromatic o-hydroxycarboxylate as a by-product. The catalyst system consists of the following compounds:(A) at least one selected from palladium and palladium compounds;(B) at least one selected from lead compounds; and(C) at least one halide selected from quaternary ammonium halides and quaternary phosphonium halides; and if required,(D) at least one selected from copper and copper compounds.The method of the present invention can increase the yield of an aromatic carbonate per palladium (the turnover number of palladium).

摘要: A fuel pump includes a case member defining a fuel passage, an inlet, and an outlet. A pump portion is provided in the fuel passage for pumping fuel from the inlet to the outlet. A motor portion is provided in the case member for driving the pump portion. A positive electrode terminal and a negative electrode terminal are provided for conducting electricity to the motor portion. A holder being insulative is provided inside the case member. The holder is mounted with the positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal. The positive electrode terminal and the negative electrode terminal are resin-molded.

摘要: A single layer film containing at least one anionic hydrophilic group selected from a sulfonic acid group, a carboxyl group and a phosphate group, wherein an anion concentration ratio (Sa/Da) of an anion concentration at a surface (Sa) to an anion concentration at a deep part (Da) is 1.1 or more. The single layer film is a copolymer prepared by polymerizing a composition containing a compound (I) represented by the general formula (1) ([X]s[M1]1[M2]m (1)) and a compound (II) having two or more (meth)acryloyl groups in a molecule at a molar ratio of 15:1 to 1:30 and having a water contact angle of 30° or less. Such a single layer film has high hydrophilicity and surface hardness and is excellent in antifogging property, antifouling property and antistatic property, thus is useful as an antifogging material, an antifouling material, an antistatic material and a multilayer body.

摘要: The present invention relates to novel methods for modulating the activity of p53 tumor suppressor protein by affecting p53 translational regulation. More specifically, the invention relates to novel methods for modulating p53 mRNA translation in a cell by affecting a function of a p53 5′-untranslated region (5′UTR), including its interaction with proteins such as Ribosomal Protein L26 (RPL26), nucleolin, and p53. The invention also relates to the use of these methods for treating cancer, neurodegenerative disorders and minimizing the negative effects of cellular stresses.

摘要: A fuel pump includes a case member, which defines a fuel passage and accommodating a pump portion for pumping fuel. A motor portion is provided in the case member, and including a commutator for rectifying electricity supplied to an armature. Positive and negative electrode terminals conduct electricity to the motor portion. An insulative terminal support member supports the positive and negative electrode terminals. Brushes are slidable on the commutator to conduct electricity from the positive and negative electrode terminals to the commutator. Brush springs apply resilient forces to bias the brushes against the commutator. The terminal support member has a load bearing portion abutting against the brush springs to receive reactive forces of the resilient forces.

摘要: The invention relates to a process for producing an aliphatic polyester excellent in stability which includes subjecting an aliphatic polyester containing at least 50% of an aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid unit, obtainable by solid-phase polymerization under a flowing gas in the presence of a volatile catalyst so as to have a desired weight average molecular weight within the range of 50,000 to 1,000,000, to a heat treatment at a temperature equal to or higher than the reaction temperature of the solid-phase polymerization under a flowing gas with maintaining the aliphatic polyester in a solid state. According to the process of the invention, an aliphatic polyester excellent in stability at molding and storage stability is obtained.

摘要: Two inner gears are overlapped with each other through a partition wall and are eccentrically arranged at an inner peripheral side of an outer gear, and eccentric directions of both the inner gears are shifted from each other by 180° to the opposite side. By this, loads in an outer diameter direction due to a rise in fuel pressure affect one outer gear from the two inner gears oppositely to each other by 180°, so that an eccentric load is not generated, and sliding resistance of the outer gear to a cylindrical casing becomes small. Further, the number of teeth of the outer gear is made odd, and the number of teeth of the inner gears is made even.

摘要: The invention provides a process for producing high-molecular aliphatic polyesters capable of being substitutes for general-purpose resins that are required to have high toughness, in a simplified manner and at a high volume efficiency. Specifically, in the process, used as the starting material is an easily-available, low-molecular aliphatic polyester prepolymer to be prepared through polycondensation of inexpensive materials of an aliphatic hydroxycarboxylic acid such as lactic acid, glycolic acid or the like, an aliphatic polyalcohol such as butanediol or the like, and an aliphatic polycarboxylic acid such as succinic acid or the like, and the starting prepolymer is crystallized and thereafter polycondensed in a solid phase in the presence of a catalyst to give the intended, tough and high-molecular aliphatic polyester.

摘要: The invention is a purification process of an aliphatic polyester prepared in the presence of a catalyst from a hydroxycarboxylic acid or a cyclic ester of a hydroxycarboxylic acid, or a combination of an aliphatic polyhydric alcohol with an aliphatic polybasic acid, or a mixture of these compounds, comprising deactivating the catalyst while maintaining the aliphatic polyester in a molten or dissolved state, or insolubilizing and separating the catalyst and successively removing low molecular compounds; and can provide aliphatic polyester which has a low content of unreacted monomers and low molecular weight compounds and is excellent in heat resistance and weatherability.
