Abstract:
A firearm storage and safety device for securing and hiding a firearm includes a clothes hanger and a holster. The clothes hanger comprises a hook and a panel. The hook is engaged to and extends from an upper edge of the panel equally distant from opposed sides thereof. The hook can engage a clothes rod to hang the clothes hanger. The holster is engaged to a respective opposed face of the panel. A firearm can be inserted into the holster so that the firearm is engaged to the panel. An article of clothing, such as a coat or a jacket, can be hung from the clothes hanger to conceal the firearm.
Abstract:
Systems and methods are used to efficiently and conveniently navigate, display, and complete interactions with on-line sources of information. A user interface may display information from separate and independent sources through two or more portals on a single web page. The two or more portals may be linked to the same search criteria such that the initially displayed windows originate from the same search criteria, but then may be independent so the portals are independently navigated. A user interface may display information from separate and independent sources so a user can efficiently and directly compare results based on the same search criteria. Accordingly, the user interface may calculate purchasing information such that products from different sources may be directly compared to account for a total cost or time to consummate the transaction. A user interface may also work in conjunction with mobile devices to save and execute searches and consummate transactions in an expedited manner.
Abstract:
A retractable lighting system having a housing, a bracket, an extendable support member, a locking device, a control box, a lighting assembly and spreader bars.
Abstract:
A method of implanting a prosthesis in a patient at a treatment site includes advancing an outer catheter of a prosthesis delivery system in the patient and advancing an inner sheath and a guidewire lumen of the delivery system from the outer catheter to the treatment site along a guidewire while the outer catheter remains stationary relative to the patient. The method also includes locking an apex release lumen, a sheath lumen and a guidewire lumen within the apex release lumen, with respect to an outer catheter and rotationally locking the apex release lumen, the sheath lumen and the guidewire lumen. The apex release lumen, the sheath lumen and the guidewire lumen are threaded onto a guidewire and directed into a patient and the apex release lumen and the sheath lumen are unlocked with respect to the outer catheter.
Abstract:
An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for protection, depressurization, and treatment of a traumatic wound. The disclosed apparatus comprises a flexible patch with an elevated portion configured to accommodate multiple connectors at least one of which is configured to interface with a two-way valve.
Abstract:
A micro air vehicle (MAV) comprises features that emulate insect-like topology and flight, including a dangling three part body (100a, 100b, 100c), wing-like dual side rotors (107, 107a) positioned to either side on rotor arms (103) providing tilt and teeter motions to vector thrust and allow crawling along improved surfaces, and elevators (101) that approximate the center of gravity and center of pressure control employed by insects via the inertial reaction and aerodynamic influence of a repositionable abdomen. Control, sensing, surveillance, and payload elements (114), (401), (402), (403), (404), (405), and (407) enable transmission of surveillance and engagement of an emerging target. Left and right perch hangers and grapples (112, 112a) allow perching on various structures, and energy storage (504) and (505) combined with power line (500) and solar (502) energy scavenging circuitry allow extended loiter and mission duration by replenishing onboard energy supplies.
Abstract:
A method for implanting a prosthesis centrally within a curved lumen includes loading a prosthesis into a delivery sheath, advancing the sheath in a patient towards the curved lumen to place at least the proximal end of the prosthesis within the curved lumen, and centering the proximal end of the prosthesis and/or the distal end of the sheath within the curved lumen. In a first advancing step, the outer catheter containing the inner sheath is advanced together towards the curved lumen to a location proximal of the curved lumen and, in a second advancing step, the inner sheath containing the prosthesis is advanced into the curved lumen to place at least the proximal end within the curved lumen while the outer catheter substantially remains at the location. After centering, the proximal end of the prosthesis is deployed centered within the curved lumen.
Abstract:
A compression stretch bandage formed from a hydrophillic foam having at least one layer of a stretchable, textile material attached to one side of the foam and a hemastasis agent attached to another side of the foam for activating the intrinsic arm of the hemostatic cascade of the healing process. The bandage may also include a silver material contained within the foam for reducing risk of infection. The bandage may be a flexible, stretchable, hydrophilic bandage that reduces the risk of infection at a wound by providing a moist environment that will aid in optimum release of silver ions into the wound.
Abstract:
A method of implanting a prosthesis in a patient at a treatment site includes the steps of providing a prosthesis delivery sheath with an alignment device, loading a prosthesis into the sheath, advancing the sheath in a patient up to the treatment site, and viewing at least one of a rotational and an axial position of the alignment device at the treatment site and, if the sheath is not in a desired position, moving the sheath to the desired position based upon the position of the alignment device. The alignment device can be a pair of markers on opposing sides of a longitudinal axis of the sheath such that, when viewed from a side of the sheath, the pair forms a given shape that communicates to a user a direction in which the sheath needs to rotate minimally to align the markers and form the given shape.
Abstract:
A business solution development process having one or more pre-definition stages and one or more post-deployment stages is disclosed. In accordance with one embodiment of the invention, data pertinent to an understanding of a business is analyzed and a future state of the business is envisioned. One or more desired outcomes necessary to attaining the envisioned future state of the business are then determined. One or more transformations that will effect each desired outcome are determined and implemented to attain the envisioned future state of the business.
