    摘要: A method and apparatus for performing channel equalization in a communication system may potentially reduce power consumption in channel equalizers of communication systems. A filtering circuit filters a received data sequence as a plurality of data values to be stored in a plurality of filter cells. Each filter cell may store at least one data value and may contain a coefficient related to the stored data value. A coefficient updating circuit may update the coefficients based on at least one parameter, and may compare the updated coefficients to a threshold. Based on the comparison, filter cells of selected coefficients may be selected for restoring the received data sequence to its original state.

    摘要: The present invention provides a device for measuring uneven wear of starter brushes for a vehicle which can accurately measure and compare the lengths of the starter brushes and easily determine whether or not eccentricity of an armature occurs, the device comprising: a hollow support; a receiving plate formed integrally with the outer circumferential surface of an upper portion of the hollow support to accommodate a plurality of brushes; a lifting body liftably inserted into the inside of the hollow support; a plurality of detection rods slidably connected to the outer circumferential surface of an upper portion of the lifting body and moving forward or backward toward the brushes; a lift driving means for driving the lifting body; a plurality of measuring sensors for measuring the lengths of the brushes by means of the detection rods; and an LCD panel for displaying the measured lengths; and a control unit for controlling the lift driving means, the measuring sensors and the LCD panel.

    摘要: Method and apparatus for use with digital television receivers are included among the embodiments. In exemplary systems, components of an interfering analog television signal (e.g., an NTSC signal) in the same channel as a DTV signal are separately estimated and canceled from the DTV signal. For instance, separate frequency shifters produce shifted versions of the DTV signal, each shifter placing one interfering NTSC carrier signal at or near DC. A DC detector detects the NTSC carrier strength for each carrier, and carrier cancellation signals are synthesized based on these measured carrier strengths. This rejection filter is simpler than prior art filters that require phase-lock on the interfering carriers, and also allows the filter to operate when phase-lock on interfering carriers is difficult to obtain. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

The photoresist of the above photoconductive liquid is substituted with dye, which can be processed through general exposure and solvent, allowing the fluorescent layer to be formed on a Braun tube under the same conditions as a typical Braun tube production process without darkroom processing.

A nitride semiconductor light emitting device can be provided, which can realize high efficiency even at high currents by minimizing the net polarization mismatch between the quantum barrier layer and the quantum well layer. Also, a high-efficiency nitride semiconductor light emitting device can be achieved by reducing the degree of energy-level bending of the quantum well layer.
