Abstract: A water treatment apparatus includes: a plurality of plate-shaped ground electrodes; a high-voltage electrode unit having counter electrode portions opposing the ground electrodes, support portions supporting the counter electrode portions, and a voltage receiving portion for receiving a high voltage; a water supply unit for supplying to-be-treated water to between the ground electrodes from above, insulating members each having a lower end portion fixed to a support structure fixing lower end portions of the ground electrodes, and an upper end portion connected to the voltage receiving portion of the high-voltage electrode unit. The lower ends of the support portions of the high-voltage electrode unit are held in a space between the ground electrodes, and a portion where each insulating member and the high-voltage electrode unit are connected to each other is located above the water supply unit, so that electric leak due to the to-be-treated water is inhibited.

Abstract: A water treatment device generates a bubble in water to be treated inside a treatment tank, and treats the water to be treated through use of radicals that are generated by bubble electric discharge caused via the bubble. The water treatment device includes main electrodes for forming a main discharge area between a first main electrode and a second main electrode, auxiliary electrodes for forming a preliminary discharge area between a first auxiliary electrode and a second auxiliary electrode, and a bubble generator generating a bubble in water to be treated through use of an externally supplied gas. When a bubble generated by the bubble generator passes through the preliminary discharge area, discharge is caused via the bubble, and, when the bubble in an excited state subsequently passes through the main discharge area, the bubble causes discharge again to generate radicals.

Abstract: When mineral components such as calcium carbonate and magnesium are contained in humidifying water and a humidification plate has holes and high humidifying efficiency, scales may be locally generated at an end or vicinities of the holes on a windward side. When minute voids in the humidification plate are clogged due to the scales, water absorption capability at a scale generation region is significantly reduced. A problem can arise requiring to replace the humidification plate even when a region other than the end and the vicinities of the holes is satisfactory, whereby replacement cycles are shortened. To address the problem, plural openings in a plate thickness direction are distributed on a flat plate surface of a water absorbing humidifying material. Thus, in an airflow direction of air sent from end sides of the water absorbing humidifying material, opening areas of the plural openings on one end side are increased.

Abstract: A water treatment apparatus includes: a trough-shaped flow path portion (2) on which treatment target water (W) flows; a high-voltage portion (3) having a plurality of high-voltage electrodes (4) disposed above the flow path portion (2) spacing therebetween in a direction orthogonal to a direction in which the treatment target water (W) flows; and an electric field relaxation portion (5) having first members (6) and second members (7) provided so as to extend around the high-voltage portion (3). Water treatment is performed by applying a high voltage from a pulse power supply (8) to the high-voltage portion (3), the first members (6), and the second members (7) in order to generate electric discharge between the high-voltage electrodes (4) and the flow path portion (2). And water treatment is performed by dissolving generated active species such as ozone and hydroxyl radicals into the treatment target water.
