An electric contact coupling for connection of a first group of electric conductors to a second group of electric conductors, and especially for use in the coupling of rail and other vehicles with one another, comprises a first plug contact carrier and a second socket contact carrier which are movable into assembly with one another to bring the plug contact elements of the first contact carrier into electric contact with the socket contact elements of the second contact carrier. The two contact carriers are arranged in respectively associated contact carrier housings. The first contact carrier is movable by a positioning mechanism axially relative to its housing to bring its contacts into engagement with the contacts of the second carrier after the two carrier housings have been brought into engagement with one another. Transversely movable closure members seal the carrier housings against the penetration of dirt and moisture when the carrier housings are uncoupled from one another. The support for the two contact carriers in a coupled condition of the coupling is such that reasonable movement of one carrier housing relative to the other is accommodated without substantial loading of the contact elements to avoid damage to the elements. The contacts automatically clean themselves during the coupling procedure.

The invention provides compositions comprising a virus-like particle (VLP) or a virus particle and at least one antigen, particularly at least one feline antigen, and more particularly at least one feline antigen that is a human allergen. In certain embodiments, the antigen is a Fel d1 antigen or a fragment thereof, covalently linked to the VLP. The invention also provides methods for producing the compositions. The compositions of the invention induce efficient immune responses, in particular antibody responses, in mammals, particularly humans. The compositions and methods of the invention are useful in the production of vaccines, in particular for the treatment and/or prevention of allergies to cat dander and other cat antigens and allergens.

The application provides a method of isolating a eukaryotic cell expressing an antibody of desired specificity, preferably a monoclonal single chain antibody (scFv). The application further provides methods which allow to clone the variable regions of said antibody from that isolated eukaryotic cell and to recombinantly produce antibodies comprising said variable regions as fusion protein with a purification tag, eg. as Fc-fusion, as a Fab fragment, or as whole antibodies, such as IgG, IgE, IgD, IgA and IgM. Said methods also allows to recombinantly produce antibodies with desired specificity in a fully species specific form, preferably as fully human antibodies.

Said polysiloxane nanoparticles can be produced, among other things, in that either a silazane or a mixture of different silazanes having one or more —[Si(R)(R1)—NR2]— units and/or a silane or a mixture of different silanes having the formula R′x—SiX4-a or an oligosiloxane obtainable by means of hydrolytic condensation of said silane/said silanes or a mixture of such oligosiloxanes are provided in a solvent and brought in contact with a strongly alkaline medium in such a way that the pH is not below 13 after the addition thereof. In specific embodiments, synthesis in acid is also successful.
