摘要： Slide members 43 are provided on the upper and lower portions of a hood section 27 of a male connector 25 so that the slide members 43 are movable in Y direction orthogonal with X direction in which the male connector 25 is engaged with a female connector 35. Guide grooves which are slanted in mutually opposite directions in the sliding direction are provided on the inner surface side at which the slide members 43 face each other. Guide pins 37a and 37b guided to the guide grooves are provided on the upper and lower portions of the female connector 35. An operation lever 47 which can rotate around rotation supporting pins 57a is provided at one end of the upper and lower slide members 43. Since the upper and lower slide members 43 move in mutually opposite directions by the rotation of the operation lever 47, the female connector 35 is drawn into the hood section 27 of the male connector 25 when the slide members 43 and 45 slide in the mutually opposite directions.

摘要： A hood assembly attached to a female connector includes slide members on the top and bottom thereof which are slid in a direction perpendicular to a fitting direction of male and female connectors. As a result of a movement of the slide members, guide pins provided on the male connector is guided by guide grooves provided on the slide members to pull the male connector into the hood assembly, thereby fitting the connectors to each other. A hood portion of the female connector is inserted between upper and lower flanges of the hood assembly with anchoring holes provided on the hood assembly and anchoring projections provided on the female connector in positions shifted from each other, and the hood assembly and the female connector are slid in this state into a normal position where the anchoring projections engage the anchoring holes.

摘要： A connector having an engagement detecting device, comprises: a first connector housing (100) for housing a plurality of first connector terminals (23); a second connector housing (200) for housing a plurality of second connector terminals (21) mated with the first connector terminals, and engaged with the first connector housing; a slider (300, 300A) inserted into the first connector housing in two stages of a half engagement position and a full engagement position; and a short-circuit spring (400) disposed within the first connector housing, for shorting electrically two adjacent mated connector terminals (23, 21) when the slider is inserted into the first connector housing to the half engagement position, but disconnecting electrically the same two adjacent mated connector terminals when the second connector housing (200) is engaged with the first connector housing (100) and thereafter the slider is further inserted into the first connector housing to the full engagement position. The short-circuit spring (400) can apply a reaction force to the slider when the slider is further inserted to the full engagement position, thus providing a stable connector engagement detecting device while decreasing the number of parts.

摘要： A male sub-connector has a plurality of terminal accommodating chambers for accommodating female terminal metal members respectively. A holding member accommodates a plurality of male sub-connectors. A plurality of terminal receiving portions are provided on a cover wall of the holding member. Entrance portions of the male sub-connector open to the terminal receiving portions to receive male terminal metal members of a female sub-connector. At the time of engaging the holding member with the female sub-connector, the engagement is influenced by only a deviation between the holding member and the male sub-connector, there arises only a small positional deviation, so that the male terminal metal members of the female sub-connector can be entered securely into the terminal accommodation chambers without being interrupted.

摘要： A pretensioner having a plurality of force transmitting members contained in a tube. One of the force transmitting members is configured to be difficult to deform, to thereby provide for smooth movement of the force transmitting members. A piston receives gas pressure from a gas generator. When gas is released by the gas generator the piston deforms and wedges into a space between the outer peripheral surface of the adjacent force transmitting member and the inner peripheral surface of the tube. Then, the barrel-like force transmitting member presses the piston backward due to force produced by the withdrawing of a seat belt due to the operation of EA. The force transmitting members and the piston can smoothly move because the wedging amount of the piston into the space between the tube wall and the force transmitting member is small.

The cover opening/closing portion 17 and the cover body portion 11 include slanting walls 22 and 16, respectively, which are opposed to each other, with the hinge portion 27 disposed therebetween, and the insertion piece portions 25 are formed on the slanting wall 22 of the cover opening/closing portion 17, and the insertion hole portions 26 are formed in the slanting wall 16 of the cover body portion 11. The pair of insertion piece portions 25 are provided, and the retaining portions 25a of the pair of insertion piece portions 25 project inwardly toward each other or outwardly away from each other. With this construction, the insertion piece portions 25 of the cover opening/closing portion 17 are inserted respectively into the insertion hole portions in the cover body portion 11, and the retaining portions 25a of the cover opening/closing portion 17 are retained by the insertion hole portions 26, respectively, so that the cover opening/closing portion 17 is held in the open condition.
