    摘要: The input device includes a frame-shaped optical waveguide having a hollow input-use interior, and a control means provided on the outside of one of the sides of the optical waveguide. The optical waveguide and the control means are provided on a surface of a frame-shaped retainer plate. The control means includes: a light-emitting element connected to ends of light-emitting cores of the optical waveguide; a light-receiving element connected to ends of light-receiving cores of the optical waveguide; and a CPU incorporating a program. Upon sensing a first light-shielded area where light is intercepted by the tip of a pen and a second light-shielded area where light is intercepted by user's hand that holds the pen, the program recognizes the second light-shielded area larger than the first light-shielded area as unnecessary information, based on a difference in light-shielded area.

    摘要: An underlay-board-equipped input device is provided which is capable of preventing positional displacement of a writing paper sheet when a user is writing on the set writing paper sheet and when the writing paper sheet is set again. An underlay board is mounted to the back surface of a rectangular frame-shaped input device having a rectangular hollow input-use interior pivotably about one end edge of the input device. The input device includes a rectangular frame-shaped optical waveguide having the hollow input-use interior. A means for positioning a writing paper sheet (such as protrusions) is provided on the front surface of the underlay board. The front surface of the underlay board and the back surface of the input device are configured to form a holding part for holding the writing paper sheet therebetween.

    摘要: The optical waveguide is disposed along the periphery of a display screen of a display of a touch panel. A light-emitting optical waveguide section and a light-receiving optical waveguide section are disposed in an alternating pattern along each edge of the display screen. Both of the light-emitting optical waveguide section and the light-receiving optical waveguide section are coupled together by placing end surfaces of end portions of the light-emitting optical waveguide section and the light-receiving optical waveguide section in abutment with each other. The light-emitting optical waveguide section includes cores each having an end portion provided in the form of a light-emitting lens portion. The light-emitting lens portion has an end surface provided in the form of a light-emitting lens surface. The light-receiving optical waveguide section includes cores each having an end portion provided in the form of a light-receiving lens portion corresponding to the light-emitting lens portion.

    摘要: A method of manufacturing an optical waveguide for a touch panel is provided which achieves a small dimensional change due to heat to provide precise formation positions of a cladding layer and cores on a substrate. The method includes: selecting an elongated substrate made of stainless steel to continuously apply a first photosensitive resin composition; heating the first photosensitive resin composition to volatilize a solvent therein; irradiating the first photosensitive resin composition to form the cladding layer; continuously applying a second photosensitive resin composition; heating the second photosensitive resin composition to volatilize a solvent therein; and irradiating the second photosensitive resin composition with irradiation light through a photomask to expose the second photosensitive resin composition to the irradiation light, and thereafter dissolving away unexposed portions of the second photosensitive resin composition by using a developing solution.

    摘要: A support structure of a windshield of the present invention comprises a frame having an open section opening forward in a vehicle and a support member provided inside the frame and connecting an upper face portion and a lower face portion of the frame. The frame has a windshield support portion supporting a lower side portion of the windshield at part of the upper face portion. The support member includes a rear support portion attached to the upper face portion of the frame and a front support portion attached to a cowl panel at a specified location positioned in front of the rear support portion. The windshield support portion is positioned between the front and rear support portions in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
