摘要: An antenna that can ensure a sufficient radio receiving level and a radio-wave receiving device on which the antenna is equipped are provided. The antenna includes a columnar magnetic core formed by a ferromagnetic body, a coil portion wound around the magnetic core, a flat-plate state extension portion extended from an end portion of the magnetic core, and a standing portion provided at least on a one-direction face of the extension portion. Such antenna is suitable for installation on a wrist-watch type radio controlled timepiece, particularly requiring a reduction in size and weight. By this arrangement, while the time display dial is more easily viewable, the radio controlled timepiece ensures that a sufficient standard-wave receiving level is provided.

摘要: A hydraulic control apparatus for an automatic transmission is provided with a solenoid valve that outputs a signal pressure during a failure and does not output a signal pressure during normal operation and a first clutch apply relay valve that switches between a normal position (the right half position) and a fail position (the left half position) based on this signal pressure are provided. During a failure, fail-safe control is carried out by the first clutch apply relay valve switching to the fail position. This first clutch apply relay valve inputs the engagement pressure of the hydraulic servo from the linear solenoid valve when in the normal position, and is locked in the normal position. Thereby, while the first clutch is engaged, the second brake apply control valve can be switched by the signal pressure of the solenoid valve.

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of detecting an abnormality of cell growth in an organ or tissue of a body and various optical assemblies for accomplishing the same. The present invention has discovered that diagnosis of incipient abnormal tissue growth such as cancer can be accomplished in vivo by exerting a predetermined pressure on the suspected tissue or organ and by subsequently comparing the relative effect on reflection from or light absorption of the tissue or organ. An optical probe can be utilized for scanning the suspected tissue or organ and recording an initial reflecting characteristic. Subsequently the tissue or organ is placed under a predetermined pressure to provide a second reflection characteristic. A comparison of the two signals will permit a diagnosis of the condition of the tissue or organ. As can be appreciated, a fiber optic bundle can be used for the optical probe and a data processor can automatically compute either the difference or the ratio of the two signals with a corresponding display or printing of the information. Alternative embodiments are disclosed herein.
