摘要: A composite of interconnected bags comprises a blood collecting bag, a preserving liquid bag, and a blood plasma bag. The interior of the bag body of the blood collecting bag is divided by a partition strip into an empty space and an empty space of the shape of a strip, with the two empty spaces mutually communicating near the end part of the partition strip. The blood collected in the blood collecting bag is centrifuged. The upper layer of blood plasma resulting from the centrifugation is discharged via a tube to the blood plasma bag. Then, the erythrocyte preserving liquid in the preserving liquid bag is advanced through the tube, the empty space, and a connecting part and added upwardly from below to the concentrated erythrocyte left behind the empty space. The erythrocyte preserving liquid, without being stirred, is allowed to ascend and mingle with the concentrated erythrocyte with the elapse of time. Thus, the present invention provides a erythrocyte preparation excellent in quality and fee from occurrence of floccules.

摘要: A branch tube comprising a main tube defining a continuous flow path and one or two branches connected to the main tube has a closure member connected to one end of the main tube to block the flow path thereof. The closure member is integrally molded with the main tube so that a continuous smooth flow path extends through the main tube up to the closure member and the closure member is breakable from the main tube to open the flow path. A tubular sleeve is connected to the main tube so as to surround the closure member.

摘要: An assembly of a tube having a breakaway plug member mounted on one opening thereof is provided. The plug member has an open end and a closed end, and includes on its inner surface a first inner-wall portion extending from the open end toward the closed end a predetermined distance which is fixedly secured to the one open end of said tubular body, and a second inner-wall portion defining a space therein which extends from the first inner-wall portion to the closed end. The plug member also includes on its outer surface a thin-walled frangible portion located on or radially outside the second inner-wall portion which is breakable to allow separation of the plug member from the tubular body. The one open end of the tubular body extends in said space beyond the thin-walled frangible portion toward the closed end of the plug member.

摘要: A solution separating apparatus has a container holding portion, a container pressurizing portion, an interface detecting portion, and a control unit. The interface detecting portion comprises a light emitting apparatus disposed to one side and a light receiving apparatus disposed to another side with a container held by the container holding portion sandwiched therebetween. The light emitting element comprises a plurality (three or more) of light emitting elements disposed in parallel in the substantially moving direction of the interface within the container. Another solution separating apparatus embodiment has a container holding portion, a tube clamper, a container pressurizing portion, a control unit, and a weight measuring portion commonly used by two or more container holding portions. The weight measuring portion selectively measures the quantity of weight change of each container held by the container holding portions.

摘要: A liquid separator for use as a blood component separator separates a blood component such as blood plasma from centrifugally separated component layers in a flexible blood bag. The blood bag has a liquid discharge tube on its upper end. The liquid separator includes a container holder for holding the blood bag with the liquid discharge tube directed substantially upwardly, and a container presser for pressing the blood bag progressively from the upper end toward a lower end thereof in coaction with the container holder to force the blood component out of the blood bag through the liquid discharge tube. While the blood bag is pressed, a certain thickness is provided at its upper end to allow the blood component to flow out of the blood back through the blood discharge tube.

摘要: A liquid separator of the present invention comprises a first plate member, a second plate member forming a receiving portion between it and the first plate member for receiving a flexible liquid container including liquid separated into the upper liquid layer and the lower liquid layer, and pushing means for pushing the second plate member toward the first plate member, said pushing means automatically pushing the second plate member with gradually decreasing pressure after starting the discharge of the upper liquid layer from the flexible liquid container. Therefore, the upper liquid layer can be discharged from the flexible liquid container without disturbing the boundary between the upper and lower liquid layers in the flexible liquid container. Thus, the upper liquid layer can automatically and efficiently be taken out from the flexible liquid container without mixing with the lower liquid layer and without any complicated and troublesome manipulation. If the discharge of the upper liquid layer is automatically stopped with a sensor detecting the boundary between the upper and lower liquid layers, it is possible to decrease errors of the sensor caused by the disturbance of the boundary.
