    Abstract: There is provided a method for defining at least one channel reservation window the method comprising: setting length for each of the at least one channel reservation window such that each channel reservation window comprises a plurality of sub-frames; dividing the length of each channel reservation window into a transmission part and an idle part, wherein the idle part consists of one or more symbols in one sub-frame; maximizing, at a symbol level accuracy, the length of the transmission part such that a ratio between the length of the idle part and the length of the transmission part fulfils a predetermined criterion; and concatenating the transmission part and the idle part so as to form the channel reservation window.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for transmission power control are disclosed. A given transmission resource and a first transmission power are determined (202, 204) for transmission. Prior to transmitting on the given transmission resource it is determined (206) whether the resource is occupied or unoccupied. Upon detecting that the resource is occupied, a second, reduced transmission power is determined (210) such that a transmission using the second, reduced transmission power would not render the resource as occupied. The determination of the second transmission power is based at least partially on a predetermined maximum transmission power reduction value. Transmission (212) is done utilizing the given transmission resource using the second transmission power according to the determination.

    Abstract: The application relates to improved hidden node detection for Long Term Evolution LTE Licensed-Assisted Access LAA. Channel State Information CSI measurements can be seen as one existing solution that could be used for obtaining information about the existence of a hidden node. However, relying on CSI reporting alone is rather unreliable. One of the reasons for this is that the CSI measurements and reporting do not take into account the regulatory requirements such as LBT. A further possible way to detect hidden nodes is to perform LBT (clear channel assessment CCA) at the transmitter (e.g. eNB) and receiver (e.g. UE) at the same time. However, there is still the need for an improved solution for how to detect hidden nodes preventing LTE LAA uplink operation and complicating coexistence. These problems are solved by ensuring that interference from non-hidden nodes (such as WLAN node 1 in FIG. 1) is not measured. Therefore the serving eNB detects a free channel during LBT procedure, i.e. that non-hidden nodes are not transmitting, and informs the UE which performs the hidden node detection measurements, by downlink scheduling, whether the serving eNB is active in the current subframe. The UE then performs the measurements only in subframes of the channel occupied by the serving eNB. Thereby, the UE only captures interference coming from hidden nodes.

    Abstract: A method and apparatus can be configured to determine uplink-downlink configuration for a primary cell and at least one secondary cell. The method can also include broadcasting the uplink-downlink configuration to user equipment. The user equipment is configured for carrier aggregation. The method can also include enabling dynamic time-division-duplex configuration for the primary cell and/or the at least one secondary cell for the user equipment. The method can also include configuring the user equipment with downlink hybrid-automatic-repeat-request reference uplink-downlink configuration for each cell for which dynamic time-division-duplex configuration is enabled. The method can also include deriving uplink and/or downlink hybrid-automatic-repeat-request-acknowledgement timing for the at least one secondary cell based on at least one configured uplink-downlink configuration and at least one downlink hybrid-automatic-repeat-request reference uplink-downlink configuration.
